I am a retired physicist, so why am I working on a concrete floor all day? No I didn't have to find a delivery job to make ends meet. I have done woodworking for about fifty (yes, 50) years, and my shop has a floor which is a thick concrete slap. So it's more than a little bit hard and uncomfortable to walk and/or stand on for hours at a time. I had heard that Skechers had some very good shoes for problem situations like mine, and I ordered a pair. (OK, I ordered the wrong shoes first, but I returned them and got the these - never EVER try to order things on line when you have 2 largish canines (Giant or "Oorang" Airedales with a combined weight exceeding 250 lbs - that is, they outweigh me) who are vying for your attention feverishly because the want/need/demand to go outside (like "RIGHT THIS VERY MINUTE!!!!"). Try waiting until things are calmer -- you'll make fewer mistakes. The shoes arrived in one day and I was really impressed. They actually look good enough for office wear, but they are a little on the heavy side so unless you don't mind the extra weight you might want to pass on that option. (It doesn't bother me, but as always YMMV.) I put them on and at first I thought they were too small. No I hadn't forgotten to take the packing out of the shoes. It had been a "laundry day" and I had been wearing a pair of *extremely* thick boot socks (but they wick perspiration out so wonderfully and my feet never feel damp). They were simply too thick to wear with most "regular" shoes (as opposed to hiking boots). The fit is very good. I normally wear an 11E although in some shoes an 11D works almost as well, and these fit almost perfectly. I gave them the "acid test" by wearing them to take the garbage cans out to the street. Our driveway is steep and rather slippey in any kind of wet or icy weather (Yes I'm in Atlanta, but we get ice storms many winters and the worst snow storm here I can remember was in about 1993 during the "storm of the century" (I believe it was called that) when I had 16" (40.6 cm) of snow all over my house and yard. So I hosed down my driveway throroughy and then took the cans and the bags of lawn clippings up the rather steep driveway (about a 30+ degree slope for part of it) and had no problems with my feet. The cans and the wagon I use for the bags of lawn clippings had more trouble than I did, so I'd say the shoes passed he test perfectly. The next day I worked 7 hours straight in my woodworking shop and it was actually less tiring than working 4 hours standing on an oak floor when I helped my wife with a kitchen problem (rearranging storage, relocating wire shelf units, etc.). So since I didn't have to take Alieve/600mg Tylenol after (or while) working in the shop I'd say these are a real game changer for me, and I would recommend them to anyone needing to stand/walk on concrete all day. The ONLY possible drawback I can find to them is that they are heavy. Specifically they may actually weigh a bit more than my favorite hiking boots (and I had thought *those* were heavy...). So if the extra weight bothers you then they might not be the best choice for you.... But I'd give them a try anyway. Not having aching feet, legs, butt, and back compensates for quite a bit of heaviness in your shoes. Now I've head these less than a week, so I can't say how they'll hold up, so I'll have to do an update after I've had them a few months. But so far, so good and I'm a happy camper.

I like the shoes as expected...no surprises. What was a surprise was the delivery dilemma. Got notification that they would arrive between 7 -10 pm by Amazon driver. I waited outside on my porch starting at 7pm. At 8:56 I was notified that the package was delivered on my porch...impossible! I searched the neighborhood with no luck. The next day, at 9:30 am, the package was delivered...seems like a shady Amazon carrier who marked the package delivered, but waited till the next day to actually deliver it...shameful.

We had these shoes for a couple of months and everything was fine, when I started to smell a very "chemical" like odor in our bedroom, that I searched and searched for. Finally located it - I don't know if the shoes got damp at work, or what happened, but they literally REEK of chemicals. It's not foot odor, it's a chemical smell coming from the upper portion. I've cleaned the uppers well, and then filled them with baking soda and let them sit in the sun, but it hasn't helped. I'm not sure what to do next, since the return window has closed. It's odd that a shoe meant for work would be sensitive and start reacting months after purchase.

Dad likes this product. He doesn’t need his orthotics cuz there’s soft support inside. They’re wide enuf to accommodate his bunion he developed as a WWII 11th airborne paratrooper. I didn’t gv it a 5 for comfort cuz one shoe is a little tight around the laces. However, I’m sure that’ll be mitigated when he breaks them in.

These shoes were nice. Inside the shoe has a very nice cushiony insole. However, unfortunately, I feel the top part was not designed well. I can tell immediately that the design of the shoe was going to hurt the top of my foot. I felt slight pressure from the leather digging in to my skin. I knew immediately I had to return it (unfortunately). Other wise, the shoes were very nice, just couldn't keep them.
