I wanted to see this because I am a fan of the Skate Kitchen insta page. I was not sure how the film would play out since these kids are not actors. The cinematography is gorgeous and the film was engaging. There is some good skateboarding in there too.

    • Creative,funny and great filming.
Great film about girls doing what they are passionate about. The cast shares thier story in such a creative way. Kurt's laugh is contagious beware! I loved the filming and how the director took time to include the culture of skate kitchen. Also enjoying new serious Betty on HBO with mostly same cast. ... show more

This movie is the ultimate girl power movie, because it doesn't talk about girl power at all. Just a bunch of girls skating around and being really good at it! This movie is filmed really well, and has a story line that follows an indie vibe.

This film shows young women shredding on skateboards as well as forming friendships with other young women. It's great to see independent films like these that show girls doing something strong and powerful and in a very male-dominated arena. Passes the BECHDEL test. Great flick!!

Like the subject matter- an Indy coming of age story around a teenage tomboy! However, it’s a bit slow paced.. left me slightly underwhelmed.

    • A Very Real and Inspiring Movie
This movie is like no other out there right now. Female skaters telling it like it is out in the skate scene with solid acting (despite the main chars not being actors). DVD came in great shape. Wish it came with some sort of insert, but oh well.
