I am a rural mail carrier and these shoes are holding up very well with all the miles I have put on them. The soles are well cushioned and protect from sharp rocks or objects. The toe box is a bit wide but I purchased a half size up to ensure more room in the toe box. I leave laces looser at toe and tighter on foot. I would not have purchased these shoes if I had known the laces were non-functional and that there is a fixed top. There is no tongue and the uppers do not pull out to make it easier to put your feet in the shoes. They do not have a big enough opening that your foot could just slide in, either, like a loafer. Instead, you need a shoehorn to force the heel (which tilts forward into the angles) backward while forcing the rest of your foot into the front of the shoe. Once the shoe is on, though, it is very comfortable. I bought the shoes for gardening on a very steep slope. My usual garden clogs are useless on this slope--my feet just slide out--so I usually use lace up shoes of some kind. These shoes are actually very good for this work. They are snug enough so my feet do not move sideways in the shoe, even when with the foot sideways to a 45 degree slope. The soles do not slip either. There is enough padding for my purposes and the shoe is lightweight enough to make the work go more easily. They are also cooler than most of the lace-up shoes I have used for this. So, I am keeping the shoes, but also keeping a shoe horn handy by the bench in the mud room. Even with the shoe horn they are a bit of a struggle to put on, but they are perfect for working the steep slope for several hours. Update 1 year later. The shoes have performed very well as a casual shoe and a gardening shoe. They are comfortable and not too hot in the summer. They still look remarkably good after a year of very hard use--sometimes in mud or on steep slopes. Steep slopes are a particular concern as some of my gardens are located on a 45 degree angle slope and I need to be able to keep my footing. The shoes kept their shape quite well on the tippy slopes, and they wash up quite well. They are still hard to get on, though not as difficult as it was in the beginning. Cute and comfortable. The upper toe has a flaw that shows the black rubber underneath (just looks like a scuff mark), but it's small and as I'm just using these for knock around shoes I don't mind keeping them for the price paid. Good find, happy with the purchase.

I gave this 5 stars even though I had to return. The sneakers are lightweight and looks well made. I loved them but only returned because I wear a right foot brace and it was difficult to fit in the shoe and when I was able to get the brace in the shoe, it was very uncomfortable.

I got these mixed up. I was trying to order sketchers and thought these were that brand, only to be immediately disappointed. Rather than send them back I decided to give them a try. Honestly, I could buy these shoes from Shein, Temu, or some other discount site for much cheaper. These are really cheap and not at all worth $37. I wish I'd sent them back but I bought inserts so I guess they're just okay now. I would pay maybe $15 for them, or maybe even $20 but I think that's still high for these shoes. Plus, it took forever to receive them. I almost forgot I about them, it took so long. Don't waste your money or time. Just buy the name brand shoe you love. ... show more

I have had a plantar Fasciitis surgery, Morton's neuroma and general foot woes. For serious walking, I do have a pair of New Balance and a pair of OrthoFeet with a firm sole but for around the house and light walking during travel, I have two pair of these and find them to be great. The sole is somewhat flexible but has just enough support. The wide toe bed helps keep my toes (prone to numbness) comfy and they can be wrapped in a bag and squeezed into a backpack or travel bag. They can be tightened for more support or left loose due to the toggle tieless elastic laces. You can slip them on and off without untying if desired. For this price, they are worth having around to give your feet a break from your work out, running or walking sneakers. ... show more
