SITKA DESIGN NOTES Sitka Gear wanted to redefine how a softshell jacket performs on active mountain hunts. Sitka's solution was to create a jacket that breathes well, blocks wind, repels rain and snow, and did not inhibit movement. Sitka Gear achieved this with GORE-TEX INFINIUM with WINDSTOPPER Technology for unbeatable weather protection, a DWR finish to prevent the face fabric from wetting out, and an articulated patterning for complete range of motion.

This jacket is thin but it's very warm. It's not noisy and it keeps the wind out. Perfect all around jacket because it's good by itself for cool or moderately cold weather but is also thin enough to be layered with a hoodie or thicker jacket for super cold weather.

My husband this jacket on his Christmas wish list and I was pleased to find this color at a discounted price. It appeared brown on the website, but when I received it, it was a gold/yellow color. I'm 6'00". 190lbs. it fits but but don't plan on wearing a sweatshirt or much of a sweater below it. The sleeve have fuzzy material inside and doesn't make it smooth to slide arms in with long sleeve shirt without pulling sleeves up. Too much drag in the arms.
