This is perfect for keeping a Kinetic watch running. I have a Seiko Kinetic, along with a few other watches. I just choose what I want to wear for the day, and try to keep the others running (solar powered, battery). This winder really works well with the Kinetic. I was excited to get this watch winder because of the good price and because it did not need to be plugged in. Instructions were a little confusing as far as operating it and setting the timer, but the look was very cool and seemed fine. But then after one week, it stopped charging. This looks like something that you would build with an old erector set (am I showing my age) but it is easy to setup and use. The timer is easy to use and keeps my watch running over night. The watch winder is not hard to put together if you watch the video. Paper instructions are bad. The biggest negative is that it will work for up to 5 hours then quits. A waste of time if you don't plan on reusing the watch soon.

Seiko Kinetic Needed winding which is charge up a capacitor. Put watch on winder for three days and now it runs great . No way to wear it enough to get started again like this machine did . Love it
