Think it should be standard when reviewing furniture to describe the material. So to that end this piece is made of solid wood and wood veneers. Well made and the assembly isn't difficult if you are at all handy. The cabinet doors fit perfectly and the drawers glide easily in and out. I have assembled a lot of DIY furniture over the years, and this has to go down as one of the easiest ever! The instructions are clear and concise--I was never confused about what to do next. By myself, I assembled it in about 90 minutes (using a drill with an allen bit to speed things along). It's attractive, everything fits together well--no crooked doors or drawers. My only beef is it showed up with a significant dent in the top center (of course!) and a smaller dent in the bottom rail center that I didn't notice until I'd already unboxed the whole thing. You pretty much have to destroy the packaging in the unboxing process, so there was no sending it back (plus, it's heavy--I don't even know how I would go about trying to return). I have a plan to repair and re-paint the top, which is possible since it's solid wood, but still. What a bummer. Overall, though, I'm very happy with it. The cabinet portion is large enough to store my 8-quart InstantPot, several Le Creusets, and various kitchen items that didn't have a home. Many options for the shelf placement heights. Drawers hold placemats and napkins well, and the extra wine storage is a bonus. I'd buy again. ... show more

Absolutely love this piece! It arrived sooner than expected, well packed, all pieces were clearly labeled and there was even a packet of extra hardware! I spent about 3 weeks deciding if I wanted to take the chance in buying it since I had read all the reviews and they were very mixed, but I'm so glad I did!! It went together very easily, took about an hour but I would recommend putting the back on last otherwise you will have some difficulty putting on the magnets for the doors. It fits my space perfectly, not too big, and it matches my walnut table almost perfectly! I use it as a liquor cabinet and it's fabulous! The drawers are not long enough to really use it as a buffet, but I can live with that. It really is a beautiful piece of furniture, and not compressed wood product. I did not put the back on the wine rack and it looks really nice like that. Love it! ... show more

Overall the product is very nice looking assembled, and being solid wood construction I feel more confident in the longevity versus the MDF alternatives. It has plenty of storage for wine/bar related items and was surprisingly easy to assemble when using a drill for certain steps. Now for the cons - this product is nowhere near the gray depicted in the product pictures. And reading through other reviews of various color options, it appears none of the color offerings are remotely close to the product listings. Farmhouse Gray is entirely brown, no hint of gray whatsoever. The product also has a very strong odor that takes a while to dissipate. I also question the durability of the stain/paint used, which had some flaws from the factory (masked with what appears to be black sharpie and surprisingly doesn't look bad against the dark brown). The finish also chipped fairly easily during assembly of certain areas of the wood which were flat with no textured finish like on the top. I imagine a store bought stain could closely match this, or the product could be entirely refinished down the line if need be. ... show more

The cabinet arrived in a badly damaged boxes. The product was scratched and dented at various spots. Reached out to Amazon and they offered return it but wanted me to box the product. How am I supposed to box something that came in ripped boxes to begin with. So I decided to keep the item. I regret my decision to keep it. Though it’s wood, it’s very soft wood which splits easily when tightening the screws. Also, screw holes are bigger than the screws provided, so they don’t tighten. I had the fill the screw holes with epoxy and glue. After complete assembly, the cabinet looks and feels cheap and flimsy. I’m afraid to put anything in it, as it might collapse. TERRIBLE PRODUCT. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! ... show more

It took my father and I about 4 hours to build this one night. Like another review said, if something isn't working or fitting together, you are probably doing it wrong. We spent 10 minutes looking for the bracket for the door and it was already attached on the doors! It is a beautiful piece and I am super glad I purchased it. I spent a few days looking in local stores for something like this, but although I like to shop in person this was what I wanted, and the right price. Then I purchased a piece of glass to sit on the top so I wouldn't worry about scratches, and I'm glad I did (only about $50). ... show more

Wife has been wanting a coffee bar, so I got this even though it’s more for wine. Ended up working out really well. It was pretty horrible to put together though. I did it in about 3.5 hours by myself. Lots of area where I had to create holes for the screws because there weren’t any, or they were far too small. I didn’t have the right equipment to do it either, which made for a very long and stressful process. A few of the boards came cracked as well.
