The Henley collar is what makes this shirt interesting and unique. The collar provides a casual look when worn with pants, while the button-down gives a more finished look while wearing shorts. I potentially like the style. For example, I like henley necks and this looks like vacation beach wear. The problem is that unlike the ads, the shirt is a little bit too see-through. You can see your skin underneath so its got a lot of pink/peach/whatever instead of opaque white like the pictures. The fabric has a pretty stiff "washboard" feel to it, kinda like cardboard. 90% cotton, 10% linen, it says. Not very comfortable imo, and will hold a crease. Sizing was about expected. This shirt had a surprise, the dark blue is actually tiny horizontal pinstripes. It is a really neat fabric. From a distance, it simply looks dark blue. Up close, it is a very fashionable design. That uniqueness combined with the short collar makes it very sharp shirt that stands out. Our son likes to wear the shirt as an over shirt. This is a good-looking shirt. I love band collars, especially to wear during the warmer months, so this shirt is a perfect addition to my wardrobe. It is comfortable (I love cotton) and hangs nicely when on and I found the fit to be on target. (I typically wear an XL and that is what I ordered.) I would not consider this shirt to be lightweight, it feels more like a midweight shirt with good workmanship. I like the fact that, although not perfect, some effort was taken to match, or come close to matching, the pattern across the button front. IMO shirts that don’t do that look really weird. Ironing out the shirt right off the package before you can use it would be best. I like the 90% cotton and 10% linen mix. Cotton makes it very comfortable, especially during the summer months, while linen gives it some stiffness, which enables the shirt to retain its form. I'll also give the shirt a high mark for its quality craftsmanship - no dangling or excess threads with well-stitched buttons and button holes. It also comes in solid earth colors and prints and in a wide array of sizes—this ensures that most adults will find one that suits their taste and build. This shirt looked just like the typical button-down shirt that I often wear, but I should have looked a bit closer. Upon receiving it, I discovered that it's got an unusual collar. Not the typical collar that sticks up and folds over itself, but an odd sort of pleated ring that lays flat. It's not what I expected, and I find it a bit strange, so it's hard to imagine wearing this shirt out much. Other than that it seems good quality, the material seems strong and feels nice, I like the color, and it's not uncomfortable to wear. This button down shirt is great for any occasion. The material is not scratchy or irrating to the skin. The material is very breathable and lightweight. I looks good with jean, shorts or cargo pants. I am not a big fan of the collar though.
