Let’s start by saying, yes as I found out, white women do wear night caps too. I’m 66, have curly hair, that is just below my shoulders. It’s dry & thinning. I can’t stand my hair in my face while sleeping, so I’ve been using a scrunchie for years. My hair stylist said that the tension could have a lot to do with my thinning & suggested I wear a silk night cap. So I gave these a try. I liked that you get 2 for the price, one on & one to wash. Guess what? I LOVE my night cap & wonder why they fell from use for so many? Wish I had tried these years ago. No more tangles, no more tenderness from having my hair pulled back & my hair isn’t as dry as it used to be. I sleep with the ceiling fan on all the time & apparently that can dry out your hair. I toss & turn during the night, having worn mine for weeks, it only came off once when I had it extra loose because I had sunburn. I find my night cap to be very comfortable, but I need to wear the adjustable button on my forehead. I find it irritates my neck when I wear it in the back, but I had surgery at the base of my skull so I might be more sensitive than others. If you are on the fence, give these a try. You will BE GLAD YOU DID!

I have find, below the shoulder, wavy/curly hair, which frizzes a lot when air dried. When I do wear my natural curls, bonnets or scarves work great to keep it from tangling while sleeping. However if I let my hair air dry or straighten it, the bonnets and scarves allow too much room and my hair moves too much in it. I wake up looking like I had a very rough night lol. However, these are perfect for my hair when I don’t do it curly (I haven’t tried it yet with the curls but I will eventually). They are lightweight so I don’t get overly hot while sleeping, no ties or huge band getting in the way. I ordered a medium since my hair is fine, but it is long, so I wrap my hair up (as if you were putting it in a low bun), slide this cap over without tying it up, and let it do whatever it wants to. and I even have a slight curl on the ends the next morning. Others have mentioned about the adjuster clasp being in the way and it kind of is. I took off a star for that, but overall it’s really not that bad. I put it on so that piece falls a little behind my ear, and tuck it in if it’s bothering me. Sometimes I only tuck in the strap and leave that piece on the outside. I’ve only had them for a week, and have worn them to sleep every night. I’m very pleased with them. $10 for 2 of these bad boys, you can’t go wrong, even with the clasp. I’d still buy them again. They’re functional for me and my hair type/texture. If you're on the fence, just try them. If you’ve never used a bonnet, scarf or anything similar, and want to, try these because they’re reasonably priced. If you love them as much as I do and the adjustor clasp is really bothersome to you, then you know you like it and can upgrade to something different. But I personally think they really are great!

Bought this to add to my bonnet rotation and give one to my daughter. It's lined inside with satin that doesn't pill after washing as most cheap satin fabrics do. The outside fabric seems to be cotton and is soft. This tightens to the wearers head shape by an elastic draw string and is entirely personal preference as to how tight the wearer wishes it upon their head. Although if its too tight I do wake up with an indent on my forehead if I'm not paying attention. If its too loose, of course it slips off at night but when worn properly, it does not budge. We've had these for a couple months and through various washes the color has not faded. My hair length for reference is below my waist and is moderately thick. Whether its braided or rolled into a bun, there is no issues with my hair fitting within this bonnet which was a huge factor. Other bonnets I have slide all over the place when my hair is inside and turns into an eye-mask or just plain doesn't stay on at night. It was a good buy for the money. Worth a shot.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Pros: Well made - Silky texture on lining - Fairly lightweight Cons: Thin band needs better grip and more width for people with fine silky hair like mine. When I put the band around my hairline, it slips off during sleep. If I put the band around my forehead, it leaves an imprint on my forehead for a couple hours in the morning, but it does stay in place while sleeping. It’s a little difficult to get all my hair into the cap at night. Unfortunately, if you have my kind of hair, this may not be the right cap for you. I now have a two-pack that I won’t use.

These are perfect sleep caps! They have a thin, half inch band instead of a 2 inch band. They don't smash my bangs and layered hair around my face. My long hair retains smooth soft curls and in the morning all I have to do is take the cap off and run my fingers through my hair.

Love these! I wear my hair naturally curly and bought these to wear during a September Alaskan cruise, after discovering that the areas of our itinerary were actually part of a temperate rainforest! They would be fine to sleep in, however, I wore them during the day to protect my hair from moisture in the air, or as an easy solution for when I didn’t have time to make my curls present as I would like. I just left a few curls out in the front, threw on some hoop earrings, and went about my day. The adjustable elastic ensured the caps stayed put. They seem well made. I washed them on a delicate setting in a lingerie bag and air dried them once, so far, without issue. I definitely got value for the price, and only wish there was a larger color selection, or assortment available. The black and teal I bought have rich color and look as advertised.
