Silhouette Mint is a great product; this kit gives you absolutely everything you need to get started. I recommend it over the other kit as it gives you more color options for ink and extra refills. As an existing Silhouette software user, I found it very easy to create my first stamp within minutes of unboxing. The machine itself is very small and easy to use. The detail on the stamps is pretty impressive; I was able to make a very tiny and thin font that I use in my logos appear on the 30x30 sized stamp. I also decided to test an idea I had; I used the blue and green to custom mix a teal-adjacent color for my logo and was surprised when it actually worked! I mixed the color on a porcelain tile and scooped if back onto the stamp with a silicone detailing tool (I have these on hand, as I create polymer clay and resin mixed media jewelry.) I knew going into it that I could always cover it with black later (these are pre-inked so eventually you will lose the color and need to re-ink them) but I was very happy when I got my teal after all. My only criticism of the Mint product line overall is that the stamp kits / refills have a fairly high price point overall. This did not factor into my review here of the starter kit and machine, but it is something to be aware of. Then again, these are not a product that is designed to be create for sale so much as one you would use on items like packaging, gift tags, hang tags, etc. If you go into it expecting to make and sell stamps, it's probably not going to be a good fit for your business. If you want to make your own custom stamps for branding, you will love it! ... show more

Ack! Okay, so I LOVE making homemade gifts and crafting! I have been steeping homemade vanilla extract all year, and I knew what type of label that I wanted, but it was going to be $$$ for a custom stamp. Then... I found out about the Mint Silhouette, I just made my first stamp which is exactly what I had wanted! I really wish for this item for so long. Some times I’ve my doubts and got confused for some reviews that weren’t good. I took the risk and I love it. It arrived way ahead of expected. The equipment were complete and the inks work great.
