These shoes really are comfortable thankfully! It feels like there is some sort of "air cushion" effect going on with the heel part of the shoe. Every time I take a step, there is trapped air being released at the heel. The only downside of this is that the shoe makes a slight whispering noise every time you take a step. This could be interpreted as a "silent fart" by a nearby listener if their mind was in the gutter at the moment! Haha! Despite the disturbing whispering noise, the shoe lessens the impact you would normally feel from a regular type of shoe touching the ground. Also, the rubber sole sometimes shifts in a way that lessens the impact of my weight distribution as well. Overall, the comfort and design are well worth the 5 star rating! I want to give it 4 stars for the disturbing whisper noise (silent fart sound) it makes every time I step but I won't do that. To be fair, I do weigh a lot. So it is possible that a person who weighs less than I do might not hear the noise as much as I do. Yes, I would recommend them still! Enjoy! ... show more
