This wooden box was a perfect size for what I used it for. The family member retired from military service and I had kept his boot camp letters. I gifted him the boot camp letters in the wooden box. Letters fit perfectly and the look of the box was exactly what I was wanting.

The box is beautiful and fits perfectly on my small side table. I was surprised it wasn’t damaged as it was in shrink wrap plastic in a bubble envelope. Not much protection. Actually arrived earlier than expected.

Ok.. If you're buying the box because it's filled with pirate booty - Eh. They are really, really cheap plastic items that are truly just garbage. There is a paper map - on thicker paper - might be the only thing that is of some quality - but not really useful in any way. The only thing I left in the boxes (I purchased 2) was a plastic skull and cross bone ring. There are some really thin plastic coins that are truly ugly - threw those in the trash too. I separately purchased some metal gold coins, glass jewels, faux pearl necklaces and some other trinkets. I then buried them in my sandy front yard. The box is a fairly good size.. and will work- has base metal pieces on the outside. The slide hook closure sometimes closes, sometimes you have to really wrank on it to make it work. Eh. As any empty box and 1/2 the price - maybe? All of these things together, I would not purchase again. ... show more
