I've only done a couple thousand miles in this helmet but so far I love it. I did change to the 31mm cheek pads before extended use. The fit and comfort are perfect for all day use, even on several day trips. Both visors both work great and are easy to use. Vents are easy to use and do provide some cooling, not super but good enough. I still get noise, lots of noise but to be honest I'm not sure there is any way to avoid that, I am after all riding with my head in the wind at highway speeds. The latch on the chin strap is also great and you can work it with or without gloves on. I wear glasses and they slip right on after I put the helmet on and there are no painfull pressure points. Weight hasn't been a problem for me even though I think it is a little heavy in my hands. The "clam shell" is super easy to use and locks up and down very nicely. Good looking helmet loaded with features. Ready for communications, Pin lock included, good fit, love the matte blue finish. Not cheap, but highly if not top rated everywhere I saw it reviewed.

I have a very large head (63mm) and the 2XL fit me...barely. It is quite comfortable. The quality is obviously high. Everything is well thought out. The pin lock worked perfectly in preventing fogging. I love the chin strap connection after using D rings only in the past. I ride a standard (retro) bike with no fairings, and while the wind noise is noticeable, it is not annoying. There is almost no buffeting. People talk about feeling the air flow through the upper vent, but I never noticed it much. Is it worth the $750 cost? I guess I'd say yes. It is expensive, but in my opinion is the best modular (non carbon fiber) helmet. And I'm worth it! ... show more

Bought this hemet to replace a LS2 Valiant II. The LS2 was an XXL and after about 15 min the head pressure made the ride a lot less enjoyable. Did some checking and narrowed it down to the NEOTEC and another. Tried this one; because, it was the closest to the LS2; which, I really liked. The pressure is gone. It is also XXL; but, seems to be more oval. Not a fan of matt colors; but wanted blue and it was advertised as a metallic matt blue. Should have know better...Anything good is hard to get these days. This was pricey; but, I would buy it again if I needed one. ... show more

This is my 3rd Shoei Neotech and it packed with lots of features. A built-in flip up sun visor, Pin lock anti-fog lens, air ventilation tunnel on top and near the bottom of the visor, quick connect strap, and it's modular. The entire front of the helmet completely opens up to get more fresh air at a signal light or to talk to someone easier. I love these helmets. They're hand-made in Japan. I have one complaint. This helmet for some reason has a high pitched whistle noise on the freeway and I cannot figure out why. My 2 other Shoei helmets didn't have that noise. Even when my visor and vents are completely closed, I still get that whistling noise. ☹️ I'm not going to return the helmet, it's just an annoyance I'm going to live with. ... show more

In 50 years of riding motorcycles I have always had around a $200 limit on what I was going to spend on a helmet. They all required a long break-in to get the foam to fit around my head. My last Helmet was a Nolan that I thought was the cats meow. I wanted to be able to take phone calls inside my helmet when I was traveling out on the highways and also listen to music. So I bought this helmet and then added the SENA SRL2. Right out of the box this helmet was so comfortable and the quality was excellent. I had to ask myself how much is my head worth and I spent the money on this helmet. Only wish I had done it years ago. I bought the Wine Red and added reflective Shoei stickers on it.
