It’s a Cavesson. It slides a teeny tiny bit on my 16.2 hh Oldenburg cross. He is a warm blood, so he has a decent size we blood head. It fits him well and slides a little bit at times but it doesn’t go over his eye and stays put for the most part. I use it occasionally on my little 15.2 hh quarter horse but only to go for short walks. (He’s about 30 years old so we don’t do much.) it’s definitely roomy on him and would probably be too big if I were to try to lunge him in it. You could also make more holes though? This cavesson is very well made and adjustable too. My Hanoverian gelding has a very refined head and fitting him with head gear is usually a hassle. This is a great fit and he seems to be very comfortable in it.

    • Lifesaver in keeping grazing muzzle on my horse!

I had to use a grazing muzzle for the first time this Spring on my horse. She kept rubbing it off. I tried using her regular halter (on top of grazing muzzle) to keep grazing muzzle on her, but that caused rub marks and wasn't quite big enough. This fleece cavesson saved the day. Her rub marks are gone, it keeps the grazing muzzle on, and it adjusts beautifully to fit her. Thanks Amazon for offering this item! ... show more
