I'm somewhat apprehensive to write this review... Because I don't want the price to increase and I want it to be available when I order? However, I'm an honest person and think this will help take away the worries on buying unfamiliar products... Wet platinum was my main go to, then my financial situation changed. So, I switched to Valm. Simular to wet, but not as costly. Then my prayers were answered when I purchased this product, Shibari Tuxedo. Less expensive than all the others. And feels better, works longer! In my opinion, it's the best I've ever used. Aug 18th. Started on my 2nd bottle... bad news, it isn't the same as the first? This is thicker and not nearly as slippery! In fact, I don't think I will ever purchase from this company again! I feel like telling them to go screw themselves... but use a better brand of silicone lubricant if you do.

First, I would like to start by saying many of the people reviewing are reviewing the water based NOT the silicone and this particular page (and my review) is for the Shibari TUXEDO (silicone). I used Shibari water based many years ago because I got it for free with some toy. About last year I started using silicone lubes because I wanted the easiness of the slide in or being slid into. The water based lubes were clumpy and always drying out. So I then switched to Swiss Navy silicone lubes. Which most men that buy any lubes know Swiss Navy is THE BEST especially for the back door. I then was trying to cut costs because I was using SO much and the came across Shibari’s silicone lube. Half the price had me a little skeptical BUT it turned out to be amazing!!! Now, of course it’s no Swiss Navy but it’s pretty darn close. Better than gun oil or any other brand we may know. And again HALF👏🏾THE👏🏾PRICE👏🏾SIS👏🏾. The lube is VERY silky and lasts long. You may have to re-apply after 30 minutes but only a tiny bit. After the very first application, you won’t have to put that same amount back on throughout the night....or into the next day if you’re like me. I HIGHLY recommend. Wish it honestly came in like a gallon.

This quality of this silicone-based personal (sexual) lubricant is 5-star and here's why: It goes the distance -- a little goes a long way, and it never gets sticky, and you don't have to reapply as frequently as with other lubers; fantastic/ideal consistency and texture -- the maker has fine-tuned its formula so the final product is neither too thick nor is it too thin, but it's just right! Along with an ideal viscosity, this lube is smooth as silk and never gritty; and this product is odorless and tasteless which is exactly how a lube should be. In addition to the high quality of product, this lube is a high-value purchase, meaning the raw cost per ounce is quite low in comparison to other lubes, but the relative high quality of this lube punches well above it's weight price-wise and outperforms many, many other lubes that are far more expensive. Those are the things that are in the WIN column -- and there are enough items ticked off in this column that this lube definitely deserves a closer look if you're looking to purchase a high-quality lube. But here is the ONLY observable shortcoming of this product: The packaging/bottle sucks (no pun intended)! When I opened up the box, the screw cap was loose (thankfully the bottle was still factory-sealed so there was no leakage) and I could just picture a future lube catastrophe if I (foolishly) decided to transport this lube to-and-fro without the added protection of a ziplock bag. But I didn't need to picture it... because I tossed this lube in my backpack after placing it inside a quart-sized freezer bag. Later that day when I was rummaging through my bag for something, I noticed that a fairly substantial amount of lube had leaked out into the bag thanks to the jankey, insufficient bottle cap. So when I returned home later that evening, I transferred the bottle's remaining contents to a competitor's empty bottle (I won't mention their name, but I can give you a hint that the brand name rhymes with BALM), reclaimed the leaked lube to the new bottle with the help of a now very-slippery funnel, and have been enjoying the product every since without any problem. I highly recommend this product -- because it functions in it's designed capacity perfectly and gloriously AND because it is a great bargain. But I also recommend: a) That once this item arrives that you transfer the contents to a dependably secure dispenser bottle, and that b) the maker/distributor sell this product in a more leak-proof dispensing bottle -- because that's the only thing holding this product back from delightfully slippery excellence!

Updated review: it’s not good as regular lube day to day, however it is PERFECT for play time in a pool or hot tub. If it was marketed as in water lube, it would be 5 stars! I have since ordered more and told people to buy it for in water, as it’s the only one I’ve ever used that works well without rubbing off after a short period. Original review: Not sure if was a bad batch or what they actually sell, but this was horrible. It was super sticky and not very slick. It made me think of that paste we would use in school to make paper mache. It definitely ruined the mood to stop and wash it off. Luckily, I was able to find a different brand that I still had around and made it a great night despite this gross product. Also, it’s not available for a refund, which is probably for the best as there would be a lot of them.

Silicone-based personal lubricants have tended to be VERY pricey, if they are good. Shibari Tuxedo is good, slippery, very water resistant AND far less expensive than most other lubes. They call it "thick", but it's not as thick as the gels, but still does a good job. No fragrance or flavor- both plusses to me. Easier to clean-up with warm water and plain soap than most silicone based lubes-I haven't "tested" it on linens to see if it leaves stains.

What a shame. I have purchased this product several times over the past couple of years and considered it to be as good as Wet. But this last bottle I received was clearly not the same, nor was it even silicone. Given that my main purpose for buying this is massage, this is completely useless to me. It feels sticky, goopy, and tacky, like a low quality water-based lubricant. I’m not even sure it’s a legitimate Shibari product, even though the the bottle was the same, the cap was clear, not black, which I thought was odd. I’ve heard this happens from time to time on Amazon, but this is a first for me. Perhaps there was a mix up at the factory? As a water based lube it’s worth about 3 dollars, and is not a product I would ever use. Shibari needs to get their act together if they want loyal customers. I will go back to Wet, and buy it locally. What a shame.

As someone who is into alot of different types of play, this lube is absolutely one of the best HANDS DOWN. It's not compatible with most toys as it is silicone derived, but for everything and everything else it is my number one go to. It's on the thinner side, but does not run like crazy. It feels silky and luxurious. I can only use it occasionally for more intense situations as my body does not tolerate silicone well and it can end up upsetting the delicate balance of my body, but as long as you are paying attention to your body, I think you will love this product.

In this day and age with silicone being all of a sudden, taboo and mean only like silicone loop because I know about it and I know the science behind it don’t be afraid of it. This came. It was thick. It is silicone. It is not a hoax. The price was amazing. I wish it had a pump. It only has a squirt top thing which if you don’t close it in Tips, it does fill, but it’s a really good pure silicone, thicker lube, and it is great, if you’re looking at this and think how do I know if it’s good trust me it’s good and how I know I’m gay and I know my lube
