I included an up-close video in my review so you can really see the fabric texture. Even though this blouse is 100% polyester, the weave is designed to look almost like a gauze, with a soft rippled effect. It also has a surprising amount of stretch, despite not containing elastane, which makes it very comfortable to wear. The finishing details are excellent. The neckline is neatly finished, and if you decide not to tie it it and it flops open slightly, the inside neckline is cleanly finished as well. This is something I always appreciate in a well-made top. I’ve seen some complaints about the sleeve elastic being too tight. In my case, that wasn’t an issue. While my video was out of frame when I showed the size of the elastic, it measures over 11 inches and drapes nicely without feeling restrictive. For reference, I usually wear a size 12, or a 14 in more fitted blouses. I ordered a Large, and it fits perfectly. It’s not overly blousy or boxy, and despite the gathering, I find it very flattering and not at all bulky. I’m including photos from the front, back, and side to show how it hangs on a real body. I haven’t washed it yet, so I can’t speak to long-term care, but being polyester, it should be easy to maintain. The care instructions are straightforward: machine wash, tumble dry low, and steam iron on low if needed. I wanted to wear it right away, so I ironed it and found that it was best to set my iron to steam and hover the steam over the fabric without pressing down and this took the wrinkles out easily. If you have a steamer, it would work great in my opinion. Overall, this is a nicely made, attractive blouse with thoughtful details and a great fit. I’m very pleased with it.

I grew up in the ‘60’s and ‘70’s when the ‘babydoll’ look was all the rage in fashion, and comfort was the paramount decision-making factor. When I saw the SHEWIN women’s ‘babydoll’ top, I was taken back to those wonderful times, and just had to order this beautiful top - and I absolutely love it! It’s made of soft, 100% polyester fabric which feels good next to my skin. The 3/4 length sleeves have elastic around the cuffs which gives me the option to push the sleeves up to a comfortable position, a feature I really appreciate. This classic babydoll top is styled with gentle gathers across the bust that provide extra room without making it look bulky. And the two sets of versatile ties near the neckline can be left loosely tied, secured in bows, or untied, whichever design feels ‘right’. Flexibility is clearly present in this design. The top is styled longer in the back (which hides those ‘problem’ areas around my hips) and, while shorter in the front, is still long enough to cascade in easy gathers over the tummy area. It’s one of the most comfortable tops I’ve ever owned. And oh, so pretty! Following the convenient sizing chart, I ordered size XL (size 16-18) and, even though I’ve lost some weight recently, the versatility of the babydoll design means the top still looks good and fits fine. This top is machine washable, wrinkle resistant, and comes in 5 different colors and sizes S through XXL. As of the time of this review (12/22/25), this quality made and easy, breezy babydoll top is on sale for $14.99 - a 38% reduction from the regular price of $23.99. At this significantly reduced price, this SHEWIN babydoll top is an absolute bargain - I recommend getting more than one. But even at its regular price of $23.99, it’s worth every penny. I give it my highest recommendation and a well deserved 5 stars!
