I’m going to leave a quick initial review, then give an update a few months later and tell you how well (or poorly) it’s held up. It’s cheaply made. All of the buckles and zippers are cheap plastic. The material itself, though better than what you find in Walmart specials type cheap backpacks, is lower end. I’m not expecting this pack to last past September (it’s currently April). But for the 25 bucks I paid for it, I consider it a good deal. For me, it should work. If you’re a student, a mass-transit commuter, or someone who is looking for a pack to do some serious hiking, all I got say is-keep looking and pass this one up. I gave it four stars since it does have a lot of features for the price you pay. Now we’ll see if it holds up very long. ***UPDATE*** October 15, 2023 I’m very impressed with this backpack. I expected it to be worn out by August, but it’s still in good shape by the middle of October. I still stand by my original review in which I don’t think this pack would be good for someone who would wear it for long periods every day. I will wait and see if the zippers hold because that is the downfall of every pack pack I’ve owned. Other than that, this cannot be faulted except in that it is made in China and I don’t want to support some of those practices. Anyway, here are some stand-out design elements. 1. It is lightweight and compressible all over except the back, where it is padded enough to support its shape, be comfy, and pad a laptop. 2. Great side cup holders that buckle tall, heavy thermoses in. 3. Nicer looking than similar due to vertical zipper in front. 4. Lots of other pockets and such that are shown in the ad. I’d actually like if they had another easy-access one like the small one on top, but I’m saying that because I have found that to be so handy. Tip: I used a black sharpie to blacken the embroidered name-brand. C’mon, we hate those logos. Get them off our bags. ... show more
