  • Did exactly what I needed!
Size: 1/4 - 1 in.
I used this on a water heater installation. This item did a great job deburring 3/4 PEX and copper pipe. I used pushfit connectors. Deburring is essential when using pushfit connectors. It keeps the pipe from tearing the o-ring in the pushfit connector. This tool worked as designed to also allow me to mark the insertion depth of the pipe which helps with accurate measurement. ... show more

  • very usefull if you are using Sharkbite fittings
Size: 1/4 - 1 in.
This tool quickly de-burrs the edge of copper pipe thus helping to assure that the O-ring in the Sharkbite fitting does not get damaged when the pipe is being inserted into the fitting. A secondary function is that it provides simple way to mark the pipe for a depth gauge as a QA check that the pipe is fully inserted into the Sharkbite fitting. This tool is well worth having if you are using Sharkbite fittings. ... show more

  • A little clumsy but functional
Size: 1/4 - 1 in.
Is it the best? No. Is it clumsy? Kinda. And as long as you aren't trying to split hairs, the guide part is fairly accurate. That may not sound very reassuring though when you're trying to keep from flooding your basement.

  • Not very useful if pipe is slightly out
Size: 1/4 - 1 in.
I wanted to use 1/2 but the problem is, other holes for bigger pipes are on the same side. And the pipe was not out enough. I think the design is wrong. All the outer edges should be on the same line so you don't need unnecessary extra clearance to use this.
