Nice, substantial 2 part pendant ( includes a tiny mini "urn" also in stainless (2 in the gold color, and two in the blue coloration) , beautiful design in stainless steel ( will hold up beautifully w/o tarnishing like silver) . the tiny urns were easy to place small amt. of son's ashes. i didnt use the tiny funnel since easily placed ashes in urn w a small disposable teaspoon. I bought a total of four feminine type pendant necklaces and 2 other tiny urn necklaces ( 2 masculine) for my son's kids, myself, and my daughter. very small amt of ashes needed ( - 1/2 tsp) total to fill all 6 mini urns. the urns closure was threaded and closed easily and tightly. Only rec. for designer, is prefer the tree of life "cage" having a locking closure. Although chain included is adequate, a longer/heavier grade chain since pendant is heavy or option to purchase ( upgraded chain) would b nice. Very pleased w purchase. Anothervoptipn of this design is if you tire of the outer part of pendant can remove the tiny urn w your loved ones remains and place in a different design. ... show more

This was actually very beautiful. I am glad I got it. It’s a good size, beautiful color and details, has weight to it so it doesn’t feel cheap and the closure appears to work well. It was a little difficult to put the ashes in as the funnel is very narrow and larger ash parts get stuck in it. The little pick to help with that, doesn't really help but in the end, I got the ashes in. The chain it comes with is pretty but I decided to use my own sterling silver chain that is a little thicker and stronger as the pendant is pretty heavy. ... show more

    • Nice but Heavy with Thin & Short Chain

This is a very nice urn pendant and well designed: the little urn inside has a top that screws on and off (seems very secure) and the outer case is designed to hold the little urn securely as long as you run a chain or cord through the attachment loops (aka bails) at the top. Which is where my criticism comes in. Considering the importance of the pendant and what it holds, why give people a very thin chain of short length with a teensy lobster clasp that looks like a simply tug would break it? Also the pendant, whose size is about 1.75 inches in length, is quite heavy. I wouldn't trust that skimpy chain with it. At first I thought I'd return the necklace, but then I hung the pendant on a long black leather cord (about 38" long) and knotted the cord using an overhand knot. Voila! Very secure and looks fine. Wouldn't work for someone who wants to wear their pendant all the time and has to dress up a lot, unless they have a funky formal style. But for me, it's perfect and worry-free. I also like that I can add a few wooden (as in lightweight) beads to the cord and/or a small heart & cat charm. You could add whatever you wanted. Thus, I'm keeping this necklace, modded as it is, but cannot give it five stars. Because the pendant urn is really pretty, I will give it 4 stars. I've no idea if the pendant is tarnish resistant and how durable it will be, but it's a solid item and seems very durable. ... show more

This is such a lovely keepsake. The color is subtle but striking. I chose the rainbow design, and I think it’s really nice how the blues and yellows sort of shine out occasionally from the purple. It’s a tiny bit heavy, but no heavier than a large pendant. Definitely comfortable enough for daily wear. It feels very durable, though I do want to point out something that I’ve seen in other reviews - the metal cage does not clasp shut. It certainly stays closed when it’s hanging on the chain altogether, but nothing locks the chain loops together. However, the bottom hinge feels sturdy, and the canister inside closes very tightly and securely. All in all, I’m glad that I chose this urn to keep a piece of my brother close. ... show more
