As I'm no no longer fishing for Salmon, or lunker Rainbows in Alaska, I don't think I will ever see it. I do like the color contrast between the backer, and the fly line. I don't think stream Brookies have the strength to strip fly line...:)

This fly line backing wrapped nicely on my reel. It allowed for good knots on both ends. There was more than enough backing for the reel and fly line to which the backing is attached.

My two issues with this backing are as follow: (1) My line came off the spool kinked and frayed. (2) Welded loops at both ends would have been ideal. Not sure if I would buy again.
