  • Sunglasses with real glass lens
These are light, fit great and are very clear. It's hard to believe the lenses are mineral glass, because of the curve and lightness, but no plastic lens is so clear.

  • Great overall glasses for the money
TLDR; For less than $55, these sunglasses are a steal in my opinion. I bought these glasses because they were non-polarized and from a reputable brand. I emphasize reputable because I don't trust my eyes to wearing $10 "cheapies" from a gas station. Not worth the risk in my opinion. I wanted non-polarized because I got tired of tilting my head to see my heads-up display with polarized glasses and wanted something to leave in my car. They are made in Italy, which makes me feel even better about the purchase. These are really a great tint for driving clarity in various lighting conditions and feel very solid, despite not be high-end priced. I feel they are built to last in terms of construction and easily on par with my Maui Jim's that cost 4x as much. Frankly, theses glasses feel more robust than my Maui Jim's, though in fairness, my MJ's are a frameless design. They also come with a surprisingly nicer case than I would have expected. Frankly one of the highest quality cases I have ever gotten from buying any sunglasses. Even better than glasses that cost over $200. It feels like leather and it has a solid magnetic snap to keep it closed. At this price point, I would understand if the glasses just came in a cleaning bag and the case was a nice surprise to me. These glasses fit me very well and I like the slight wrap around that prevents light coming in from the side. The size of the lenses basically give me a full view and I don't even see the frame. I personally like that. These glasses are not uncomfortable at least for the short drives I have used them with. These glasses do not have rubberized or silicon nose pads so I am pretty sure these won't be good for jogging or anything that might cause sweating while being active. However, in the car, they stay just fine and comfortable enough for the price point. Overall, I think they look decent on my face. If style is important to you, you probably would not pick these to use for an outdoor wedding, but for driving and running in and out of a store, these look plenty fine in my opinion. One consideration and bummer, though not the glasses fault, is that these do not fit in my car's sunglasses compartment. To me this is not a deal breaker if you are looking for a solid set of glasses, from a reputable company, and at a very fair price. With the nice case, I just leave them in my center console. ... show more

  • Good price for photochromatic sunglass
I've used these sunglasses for a week and driven while wearing them for several hours. First, the orange lens reminds me of the BluBlockers I owned a few years ago, but unlike those, these sunglasses do not remove all of the blue colors (blue color focuses on spots before it reaches the retina, making anything with blue color appear blury) as removing all blue colors can be dangerous when color recognition is important (such as when distinguishing between traffic light colors while driving). The photochromatic lens can stay on my face under conditions beyond other glasses - they darken in the bright, glaring mid-day sun and I did not squint at all. and in approaching darkness at twilight, I could still wear them when other sunglasses had to come off. The frame is made of strong "ABS"-like plastic that can withstand being tossed around. They are designed to hug the face snugly - you can wear them even for sports and they won't come off easily. They're also lightweight, comfortable and pretty stylish. The only downside is the frame can't be adjusted/bent like metal frames can for better fit. My only reason not to give this a 5-star rating is that the lens are NOT made of glass. When I purchased them, i was under the assumption all photochromatic lens are made of glass. The reason I prefer glass is that I tend to be rough with sunglasses, particularly those I wear day-in/day-out - tossing them around etc and most of them inadvertently get scratched after a few weeks' use. While Serengeti says these are scratch-resistant lens (and lighter than glass lens), I'm not sure how long mine will hold up before the first scratch appears. ... show more

  • Good for Golf
I tried several brands of sunglasses supposedly for golf but did not like the plastic lenses and poor overall quality. These worked great for golf, both seeing the ball in flight and seeing the slopes and breaks in the greens. The tint is the right color to add contrast and sharpen the image. Like the glass lenses and the build quality. Not polarized which is good for golf and overall use. ... show more
