Love this helmet. Live in the sweltering summers and humidity of Louisiana. Bought a cheap and durable helmet to test drive my now new motorcycle, but I needed something with more airflow and technology. Also, links up with your buddies while on a long ride. love that the helmet is rated to have the chin portion up and locked in place while riding for those days you want to feel the fresh air on your face. Was on my way home after dark when my elderly neighbor called to check in on me... about halfway through the call, I asked how the call sounded ( as I had the front part of the helmet up and locked in place, was doing around 60 mph down the Hwy and was 100% hands-free and full attention to the road; while I was also taking his call. Blew his mind! I had looked at a similar style helmet from Germany, which cost 3-4 times what this one does ( once you get the helmet and the BT kit that is built for it specifically). I just couldn't see myself parting with so much money at this time, had just graduated from The Harley Driving Academy in the literally hottest part of the summer this year... and almost had a heat stroke. I did my homework and found this exact same helmet that some slap a logo on and charge twice as much for just over $200. I would absolutely purchase this helmet again! I was so excited when my helmet arrived way before it's scheduled delivery date. Was very much looking forward to using it right away but unfortunately it didn't fit. I was very careful to order the correct size, and indeed the size ordered is what was delivered. However despite it having the same dimensions (64cm) as my current helmet, it felt like a child's helmet on my big fat head! Not only did the helmet not go all the way down to my jaw line but my nose barely fit when the helmet was closed. So sadly it would be unsafe for me to try and ride with this helmet. Listen, if you're a big man like me just keep in mind ordering anything you're going to wear, online, is a dice roll at best. Otherwise looked like an awesome helmet. ... show more

Could use alittle more room in the front of the helmet. Can fit a finger between chin and chin bar. Other than that big bang for your buck compared to other helmets on the market. Speakers had good sound, plenty loud and clear.

    • As good as one should expect, for the price…

I’ve got about 1000 miles on the helmet now, and wanted leave an honest review about the helmet. The build quality is pretty good but it could use better venting. The chin bar and windscreen both have good, positive positions and will hold wherever you leave them at highway speeds. The windscreen is very good, in quality. Wind noise is more than I thought it would be and this hurts the audio quality. At highway speeds with the audio all the way up, you can barely make out the music. You can hear on phone calls, but it is very distorted. The person on the other line can hear you very well, so the noise suppression is pretty good. I read a lot of reviews before purchase and one thing everyone mentioned is to be sure and order a size up. I shouldn’t have done that. Medium is my normal size and Sena’s large is a little bigger on me than I prefer. My riding glasses become very irritating after a short time in this helmet and they’ve never bothered me in my other fullface helmets that actually fit tighter, so I’m thinking it’s the design of the helmet around the ear area… this could be intentional to better seal around the ear to improve audio clarity, but if that’s the case, I’d have opted for more room because as said before, the audio quality just isn’t there as I expected from Sena. All of that being said, for the money, it’s as good as can be expected. Just be sure your expectations are reasonable. ... show more

Overall, so far this is a decent helmet. No problems hearing music or phone calls even with my loud pipes. Helmet is very snug, even the 2XL. Could use a little more mouth/chin space. Need to add some audio controls to app as music sometimes sounds like a record spinning a little too fast making even low country voices sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks singing. Warning to any looking at this helmet. If you're really interested in the FM radio function, you may be very disappointed. In a chat with Sena Customer Service, some of the helmets were produced without the FM radio due to lack of radio chips. This is from them, "Unfortunately, the helmet the you have has no FM Radio. There are 2 type of helmet that has been released this year because of the shortage of Radio chips on the Market they have release a version without FM Radio". ... show more

So I was very skeptical about buying this helmet due to the fact that people were having sound issues but I did anyways because of the price and functionality of this helmet. And it's a SENA. So after watching a bunch of videos about sound not sounding right the number 1 issue was placement of speakers so I gave it a go. I mean what a difference. I created steps to show you how to fix it. ......... 1. Remove padding around ears to get to the speaker behind and pull the speaker out of hole. 2. Get some velcro and cut some circles to fit hole or buy some already curt circles. 3. Refill the hole with velcro circles and some back to back or front to front to fill the hole flush. However they need to stick to each other right. 4. Make sure the last part of velcro up is the hairy side so it sticks to the speaker. I moved it to about here in photo to work best for me. Most like works for you too. 5. Putting padding back in and speaker should be raised and almost center in the place to the left of where the strap goes through. Sounds 300% better and I can actually hear bass now. Almost too loud on occasion. You're welcome. ... show more
