The Sena Outrush gives you modular helmet convenience, style for days, and HD audio Bluetooth comms built right in. Straight-from-the-box, you can connect your smartphone to the helmet via Bluetooth for stereo music playback, phone calls, GPS directions, and HD intercom conversations. This smart modular helmet is composed of a multi-density EPS liner and lightweight DOT-rated shell. It uses a quick-release ratchet strap system to secure the helmet comfortably and features an integrated drop-down sun visor alongside a face shield for eye protection. After reading previous reviews about the sizing of this helmet, I bought one 1 size larger. My head is small, 56, so I bought a medium. There is a review that the writer went 2 sizes larger, and I don't think that's a bad idea at all. Mine fits very snug. And after wearing it a little while, the foam pads will relax a little, and it will conform perfectly. The Sena bluetooth is simple and low profile; easy to use. You definitely want to get a size bigger than what you normally wear. Connects effortlessly and seems to be loud speakers. It does have some wind noise but the speakers drown it out. Left the house at 8am and got back at 5 with maybe 1 for stopping. The helmet battery lasts all day. 100% recommend this helmet size up though I’m normally a medium and large fits snug. ... show more

This is the first helmet that I have purchased. I have used a different helmet while riding with a friend. The two big differences that I have noticed are that this helmet is considerably heavier and louder. It is quite comfortable and the Bluetooth system is pretty nice. I got used to the weight of the helmet but my biggest complaint is how loud the wind noise is when going at highway speeds. I turn the music up all the way and it is still hard to hear it clearly. For a first helmet, this is a great option for the protection and features you are getting for the price. However, when it is time to buy another helmet, I will be looking for one that isn't quite so loud. ... show more

This is a comfortable helmet. It would be nicer if the music could get louder. I have a Harley and it's hard to hear it over the motor even with the helmet all sealed shut.

It is a snug fit but everything you could ask for. Pros: speakers are loud, sun visor, easy controls and connectivity, good airflow, Cons: microphone gets in the way when closing helmet, location of the bluetooth control, no pinlock visor

Good: Light weight, included comms, easy pairing with your Bluetooth. Bad: Runs small, very cramped fit, fairly noisy. Fairly comfortable helmet and the built in Sena comms are a plus but the dementions of the helmet negate the pluses. I measure between small and med. so I got a medium size. Biggest problem is the chin bar is SO close to your face that the mic gets stuck under the chin curtain every time you try to close it. I ended up just taking the chin curtain off and letting my beard cover the opening but the mic is still pressed into my bottom lip AND the front of the helmet. My hearing sucks but the speakers are quite loud although tinny sounding but they work. Road and wind noise still comes through more than it should. It's a decent setup but your paying for the comms; the helmet itself is cheaply made. At this point I'm going to try and return it and get a good helmet and separate comms and just do them myself. A good rule to follow that I didn't do; never buy a helmet you don't try on FIRST. ... show more

I have ridden with this helmet now for almost six months. Fits perfect, Bluetooth and speakers work great! I think the helmet is quiet with plenty of airflow. I did ride this winter and did not really have any fogging issues as I kept the vent on the chin guard open. I do not use the mouth guard at all. The only issue I had was the sun visor was a bit sticky but some lube on the hinges fixed that with no issues. I am extremely pleased with this purchase! ... show more

    • Used item/maybe a bad battery

This helmet came used but in new condition. The wait for the helmet is quite lengthy. The helmet definitely runs a size small. I ordered this white one for my wife. It has a dial or toggle switch with a button in the middle for controls. I also ordered a black one for myself that came used in new condition but with no paperwork nor owners manual. The black helmet has operating buttons. The battery in the white helmet was uncharged immediately out of the box. Once I figured that out, we recharged and tried to pair the helmets again without success. An electric voice warned that the battery in the white helmet was low about ten minutes later. Since one helmet is equipped with a dial or toggle controls and the other with buttons maybe there are special instructions involved. I will attempt to recharge the battery again and attempt to pair them once more. A recharging cable is included but no plug in. It requires a 5 volt plug in only. You will need to search far and wide for one in Alaska but we managed. One of two things are about to happen. I’ll figure it out or call for support. If Sena support will assist me, I will try to work with them but waiting until the end of Alaska’s short riding season for an exchange or new battery isn’t in the cards. I will review the black helmet, too. We have found contacting Sena support to be nearly impossible. They do not answer inquiries and the wait on the phone doesn’t get us any help. We have studied YouTube videos and used up more of our personal time with zero input from Sena that we’ve decided to quit and are returning the helmets. ... show more
