Helmet is very comfortable and easy to put on without smashing the ears. You can still hear the music even on the interstate. Now the music isn’t top quality and basically no bass but you can hear the song clearly and that’s all that matters at this price point. I’ve got about 1000 miles on the helmet now, and wanted leave an honest review about the helmet. The build quality is pretty good but it could use better venting. The chin bar and windscreen both have good, positive positions and will hold wherever you leave them at highway speeds. The windscreen is very good, in quality. Wind noise is more than I thought it would be and this hurts the audio quality. At highway speeds with the audio all the way up, you can barely make out the music. You can hear on phone calls, but it is very distorted. The person on the other line can hear you very well, so the noise suppression is pretty good. I read a lot of reviews before purchase and one thing everyone mentioned is to be sure and order a size up. I shouldn’t have done that. Medium is my normal size and Sena’s large is a little bigger on me than I prefer. My riding glasses become very irritating after a short time in this helmet and they’ve never bothered me in my other fullface helmets that actually fit tighter, so I’m thinking it’s the design of the helmet around the ear area… this could be intentional to better seal around the ear to improve audio clarity, but if that’s the case, I’d have opted for more room because as said before, the audio quality just isn’t there as I expected from Sena. All of that being said, for the money, it’s as good as can be expected. Just be sure your expectations are reasonable. ... show more

Overall, so far this is a decent helmet. No problems hearing music or phone calls even with my loud pipes. Helmet is very snug, even the 2XL. Could use a little more mouth/chin space. Need to add some audio controls to app as music sometimes sounds like a record spinning a little too fast making even low country voices sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks singing. Warning to any looking at this helmet. If you're really interested in the FM radio function, you may be very disappointed. In a chat with Sena Customer Service, some of the helmets were produced without the FM radio due to lack of radio chips. This is from them, "Unfortunately, the helmet the you have has no FM Radio. There are 2 type of helmet that has been released this year because of the shortage of Radio chips on the Market they have release a version without FM Radio". ... show more

    • Does what it’s supposed to do
The helmet is nice. I like that it has the Bluetooth attached and not separate and it was easy to setup. I have not used the intercom so not sure how that sounds. Helmet is not heavy and easy to put on and mine was not tight. I got an XL to be on the safe side and it fits perfectly.

This helmet is great especially for the price. The Sena sound system already built in to a DOT cert helmet has outstanding sound quality and does great blocking wind noise and has alright ventilation (I do live in Florida where it’s humid which definitely effects it). Only reason it’s a 4 star is because the size chart. My head is on the lower side of the large size. Saw the reviews and originally got a XL… which was still way to small (cut off circulation in my head after about 15 minutes of use). Got the XXL and it fits great so just be sure to by at least a size up. Update absolutely the worst padding in this helmet it gives me headaches after about 30 minutes of riding. I do have a bony head but the padding that’s around the forehead area is like a thin piece of cloth. Will have to buy padding inserts. ... show more

So I was very skeptical about buying this helmet due to the fact that people were having sound issues but I did anyways because of the price and functionality of this helmet. And it's a SENA. So after watching a bunch of videos about sound not sounding right the number 1 issue was placement of speakers so I gave it a go. I mean what a difference. I created steps to show you how to fix it. ......... 1. Remove padding around ears to get to the speaker behind and pull the speaker out of hole. 2. Get some velcro and cut some circles to fit hole or buy some already curt circles. 3. Refill the hole with velcro circles and some back to back or front to front to fill the hole flush. However they need to stick to each other right. 4. Make sure the last part of velcro up is the hairy side so it sticks to the speaker. I moved it to about here in photo to work best for me. Most like works for you too. 5. Putting padding back in and speaker should be raised and almost center in the place to the left of where the strap goes through. Sounds 300% better and I can actually hear bass now. Almost too loud on occasion. You're welcome. ... show more

Was an inexpensive way to get a Sena headset and helmet, and works fine. Is a bit snug even using the measurement guide. The guide said I should be a medium, I ordered a large and is still really tight, but has loosened up a little after a month. Wish it came in colors other than black and white. Speakers are adequate but not terrific. I like that it’s all built in rather than a unit stuck to the side. ... show more

So the helmet itself is pretty nice, but the sizing chart is way off. My head is about 23 and a half in circumference, and the largest size just barely fits.
