Works as advertised. I had the advantage of a paper cutter so, getting a square cut was much easier for me than using scissors. Adhesion is a TBD; the back of our tile coasters is an irregular (not flat) surface. Application. I thought the tile porous so, I washed with detergent and dried in the oven on the Warm setting (188 degrees F) for 15 minutes. I applied the first square while the tile was warm to the touch; the rest as they became cooler. Didn’t seem to make a difference. Thickness. For our coasters, 0.018” thickness (about the same as 6 sheets of 20# copier paper) worked fine. Sturdiness. No flaking or cracking of the cork during and after peeling off the backing, even working against the curl of the rolled stock. • Update 15 hours after: the cork layer seems to have shrunk leaving an orange peel or large stippled look. I think the tile absorbed any moisture that was in the cork.

We used this sheet cork in the bathroom and linen closet to line shelves and drawers. This product is very thin, and super easy to use. It comes with grid pattern printed on the adhesive side for easily cutting even lines. It took two of us about half a day to cover 4 linen closet shelves (about 2'x2' and 10 small vanity drawers but things moved much faster after the first few, as we got the hang of using it. The adhesive sticks well on both our melamine shelves and reclaimed wood drawers, once the wood's been wiped down with a damp cloth to remove dust, then dried. Love the idea of using renewable natural resources in our home renovation. Worth every penny!!!

why not 5 stars? it could be thicker, just a bit thicker. This is really nice, i put it on top of the end table next to the chair in the living room. no more fumbling for coasters, no more things rolling around. This is my second roll. it's not thick enough to use it for a bulletin board, but it's great for use as I am doing. I'm sure you can dream up other ways to use it. the stickiness is fine. it's been on the table for close to a year and hasn't moved. it's easy to cut with scissors, I haven't tried to remove it and it's good value for my money. it IS durable and super easy to use

It’s about as thick as card stock, doesn’t stick to see if it’s life. It comes in a roll, which is impossible to flatten. waste of money. Wish I could return.

I used this cork shelf liner to cover the shelves in a large book case I use in my kitchen to store cast iron cookware and other large and/or heavy items that I don't have room for in my kitchen cabinets. In the past, storing heavier items (like the cast iron) would result in the paint on the shelves sticking to the bottom of the cast iron and would show nicks or marks from other items, especially if they stayed in the same spot for a prolonged period of time. It's my hope that this cork shelf liner will solve the paint issue, and so far it's working well. I love the look of it and found it easy to apply to the shelves.

1) stronger adhesive backing needed for moisture or medium traffic areas (was lining a drawer used for plate storage in kitchen) 2) for me this product worked after prepping it AND the target surface. Roll worked on my perfectly level, lightly sanded, cleaned & prepped flat surface. Took 2 days for curly roll to straighten out by putting books or weights on the roll edges. This makes it more likely everything stays sticking properly. would be way easier to use if manuf. prints 1cm/1” squares on the backing for easier cutting & measuring; the printed ruler on back was off 3) after 1 month, first application strip is lifting at edges unless I reinforce with superglue. 2nd & 3rd strips ok. First inches of the roll might be less quality or user error. L 4) cork roll is thin & meant for covering something or making some other flat surface (ceramic coaster etc) look like cork without adding too much weight. It’s way too thin for cork message board unless you cover a piece of hard white foam with it.
