- Perfect Illuminance-Light Meter: Now you can measure the brightness of Light Sources with the aid of Sekonic Light Meter C-7000 Spectrometer. It provides lux, foot-candle, lux second, and foot-candle second. Illumination (1 to 200,000lx = 0.1 to 18,600fc in ambient light, 20 to 20,500lxs = (1.86 to 1,900fc). It conforms to the requirement of Illuminance meter class for JIS C 1609-1: 2006 Illuminance meters Part 1: General measuring instruments Class A, and DIN 5032 Part 7 Class C.

I analyze architectural and natural lighting sources for work, and this device has been great! Lesser-cost devices ($300 or so) will provide results, but are not accurate. This device has proven to be very accurate and consistent. The only thing it does not have is constant ambient monitoring (or if it does, I haven't discovered the feature). Have to press the button each time to capture a reading. Other than that, this has definitely been a solid investment into my tool set.

This thing is a beast. Everything and more for what you need in your daily endeavors. I work as a projectionist and use this device to color correct projectors when I blend them. There are more features than I will ever use, but as a techie, I enjoy having more than not enough. I never get anything without doing extensive research so it was a big deal to drop the cash on this bad boy and I regret nothing. If you are a pro that respects yourself, go all out and you won’t be disappointed

The screen I use more than anything is the CIE-1931 chart with the kelvin temperature line. If you want to match projectors and led walls fast this meter is great.
