Update: I recently bleached my hair and decided to get a blonde pony tail, since I liked the brown so much. I had a couple blondes to pick from, so I took the 2 that seemed to catch my hair color the most, then held up the image of the hair on my phone next to my own hair and decided on the pale ash blonde. I made sure to have a natural light source on my hair to show its brightest true color before deciding. Apparently, I made the right choice, because I couldn't have picked a color to match any better than this. You literally can't tell where my real hair ends and the fake hair begins! Super impressed! Original Review: I have been putting off trying these pony tail clips for SO LONG and finally I just got one (cause it had free returns and I figured, what harm can be done if I try it? I can always send it back). Let me tell you... I was sitting around in my jammies and robe when this thing came in the mail. I just had my hair already in a sloppy bun (picture of the hot mess I am), 'cause I didn't give two cents what I looked like lounging at home on a Sunday doing NOTHING. 🤣 I CAN'T BELIEVE HOW QUICKLY IT CHANGED MY APPEARANCE! I mean, look for yourself!! If it can do this much for my looks when I didn't even properly tie my hair back and do my bangs, imagine if I actually put some effort into it?? Synthetic of course means it won't last long... it will start to fray/shed. The more you brush, the faster it will go. I would not try to use heat on this thing. The clip is firm so it takes a little hand/finger muscle to open, but I have fibromyalgia (maybe even dealing with arthritis now or brittle bone - but I hate doctors (lol) so I don't know - I just know my hands ache, my bones snap in my fingers doing simple tasks (like flip a turn signal) and holding things can be bothersome at times) and I was able to open and close it. It can be awkward till you get used to it and does require a bit of strength. Which is a good thing or the weight of the hair would pull this thing right out. I bought the 24 inch in the dark brown for reference. Ignore the weird photo that makes the dark brown pony look like it's multi-colored. It was either the flash or light coming in the window (or combo of both) that caused that to occur - as you can see in all the other pics it's all the same color. Do I recommend? Out of the package and initial impression? Yes! Again, can't say how much use you'll get out of it. I can make my synthetics last years, 'cause I don't wear them everyday and I'm a homebody... but everyday use this thing could be in the trash in a week, or a month, or longer... I can't say. A lot has to do with how you maintain it, and what activities you do in it, really. If I can remember, I'll try to add pics when I'm actually "dressed" and do my hair. The dark brown color was too red so I sent it back but it was really great quality for synthetic hair. I really liked the claw clip as well, very easy to use and didn’t feel like it would fall out

I got the bleached blond shorter one and pulled it outta a bag that was like glued shut the kind u have to cut open. Immediately I was hit by a filthy smell like gross oily hair. I mean dirtyyyyyy! Because it looked so well sealed I thought this can’t be used…. Tho the hair seemed older sn not soft an I swear felt hair sprayed. I aired the hair out outside for days sprayed it w my fav perfume. Nothin helped. I finally returned an got another. This one smelled looked an felt dif an better which is great but also proves the other was def used an dirty tan yuck I’d tried wearing it. The new ones great which is why I gave it stars at all but how’s this happen? When they resealed it they didn’t notice the smell? Quality control guys. But also who returns used 6 dollar hair. I wore this ponytail to my daughter's college honor's banquet and graduation and LOVED it! It matched my hair perfectly. I got the 24 inch dark brown. I got SO many compliments! The piece is super thick and matched my hair's natural texture. I do have naturally wavy hair. It didn't tangle easily and stayed in place. Based on the decent reviews I decided to buy to for my sailormoon cosplay Halloween costume and I do not regret it! I love how realistic they look and how simple it is to put on.
