We love this desk! It is very very sturdy. I wish we could buy the file cabinets separately, we would buy 2 more. The size of every piece is perfect and the drawers are huge! The desk space is so big. Very durable with a lot of storage capacity. It took 2 of us a little over 4 hours to assemble. It was difficult to assemble, it was just tedious and took a long time. 3.5 Stars. I might have given it a 4, but I just finished putting it together and it was an altogether distasteful experience. The table is sturdy and looks nice when assembled. If I had paid somebody to assemble it for me, I'd probably give this table 4.5/5 stars. But instead, I assembled it myself. It took 4+ hours to assemble and was very tedious. The instructions are clear, but there are A LOT of pieces, a few of which aren't labeled, others of which are black lettering printed on a clear bag full black screws or parts - basically, it was very unpleasant to find stuff. Sorting through all the pieces and screws reminded me of sifting through a giant pile of Legos as a kid. Also, not all of the holes were aligned properly and I had a lot of trouble with a couple of pieces. Next, the computer stand has plastic feet and look like wheels but aren't. They are attached to particle board by tiny screws and immediately fell off when I tried to slide it across the floor, almost dropping my computer to the ground. Lastly, the black piece in front picks up oil smudges very easily and the smudges are easily noticeable. ... show more

This is a wonderful desk with plenty of working space. The shipping box was badly torn up and I was worried that there would be some damage to the desk, but the internal packing protected everything. Assembly took a significant amount of time, including lying on the floor under the desk and working over my head. I felt that in my shoulders and neck the next day! Careful study of the instructions (drawings, no words) is necessary. Two pieces of advice on the assembly. First, the pilot holes that are predrilled for the smaller wood screws are not very deep and sometimes the screw will want to go in a little bit crooked. A sharp scratch awl pressed into the pilot hole about an eighth of an inch will take care of that issue. Secondly, be very careful with the steel frame parts numbered 38. It is very hard to see in the instructions but there is an upside and a downside to them. I at first put them on upside down and after discovering that mistake it probably took me an extra hour to back-track and make the correction. ... show more
