  • Great wallet for the right person.
This is not the one wallet to rule them all. There will be people who don't like it. But if, like me, you are looking for a very specific sets of things from a wallet then you'll enjoy this one. Make sure you're aware that this is a very small wallet. When it is full it is almost the exact size of a deck of cards (if you exclude the little black trigger to that springs out the credit cards). This is not a downside; I consider it a feature. Be aware, though, that if you're looking for a wallet to fill up your back pocket then this is not the one that you want. The description claims that it will hold 12 cards and that is DEFINITELY the maximum. I have five cards in the silver portion (three embossed) and I can't fit another one. I tried fitting six non-embossed cards and they fit but only barely. There are two "regular" pockets stitched into the leather and they fit a maximum of three cards each. I have three non-embossed cards in one of them and it takes some work to get them out. You could, if you want, put a few cards in the billfold portion but they wouldn't be very secure. In total, I hold five cards in the silver portion, three non-embossed cards in one of the lather pockets, two non-embossed cards and two paper cards in the other leather pocket, and two bills in the billfold. I do not carry around a lot of cash (which was the exact reason I wanted an "unconventional" wallet in the first place). If you want to carry a lot of cash then this isn't the best choice. I can comfortably carry five $20 bills as long as they are new and crisp. If I get a handful of really old and wrinkly bills and I cram them in there then it feels like it puts some strain on the wallet. This brings me to one of the reasons I took off a star. The way that everything is attached doesn't feel outrageously secure. The black (canvas, I think) billfold portion is attached directly to the silver part with some kind of adhesive. That portion seems to be held onto the leather portion by some thread. Needless to say, I do not trust that thread. Every time I pull open the billfold portion to get some cash I feel like I'm removing a few moments of life from my wallet. This is especially true when I have several bills in there. The other reason I took off a star is because this wallet could be just a little bit better. I mentioned that the leather card pockets only hold three cards. If the leather portion were a couple of millimeters wider on each side then those leather pockets would be able to hold significantly more without sacrificing any of the wallet's features. It just seems like a real missed opportunity to me. ... show more

  • Best Wallet I've ever owned.
UPDATED REVIEW: It's been almost 3 years since I purchased this wallet. It remains the best wallet I've ever had. I traveled all over the country and overseas. Never had a problem. Regularly, people ask where they can get one as well. The card eject trigger still works flawlessly. The plastic sleeve designed to hold money is still fine. You can't put a lot of bills there, but it works. I've stretched out the leather pockets a bit with other cards, ie. insurance and membership cards, train passes, etc. If I needed another wallet, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to buy another one. UPDATED REVIEW: I've now had this for 11 months. It continues to be a great wallet. So much easier to use than traditional wallets. It's compact, requiring that I carefully choose what I want to carry, but holds everything I really need. Almost weekly, someone asks me about it. It's incredibly convenient. Appreciate it even more today than when I originally purchased it ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is a great tool While it will hold 6 cards in the ejection case section, it won't do so if they are all cards that are embossed, like most credit cards. What I've found is that if I store 4 regular credit cards, a driver's license and one other non-embossed card, they will fit. However, I have to face the fronts of two embossed cards toward each other, with one top matched to the other bottom, so as to reduce the thickness. Otherwise, it's very difficult to fit the cards. The place for holding bills is small as well. Even though this seems as criticism, for me it works very well. I wanted something small and secure and this certainly fits the need, especially as a road warrior seeking every way to minimize as possible. I just think everyone should know what their getting for what they spend and know the advertising of 6 cards is a bit misleading. ... show more

  • Didn't like it at first and though the wallet is not ...
When I opened the small box I was a little bit shocked how small it is. I shocked even more when pick it and started to examine it closely. Didn't like it at first and though the wallet is not worth the money I payed. Looked and felt cheap. I got used to it in when I put my cards in and started to use it. And now I think it is a very solid wallet. The con of this wallet is that I can fit only 5 cards in the metal cardholder. I tried to squeeze in the 6 th card but the cards were so pressed against each other and lever got so stiff I could hardly pull it to fan the cards out. And this is the reason why I am giving it 4 stars. The first thing I did after initial card set up was going to grocery. Obviously not many people use this kind of wallets (usually people are not into a wallet market and don't care where they put their money) and I saw how surprised people got behind me in line when i pulled out my wallet and accessed my credit card in a most stylish way (Maybe a bit exaggeration cuz at the moment I was thinking all eyes are on me but the two guys behind me definitely saw it and I know they were surprised). It was an easy transition from a regular bulky wallet to a slim cardholder. Love the concept and love the fact how small it is and how cool it looks. ... show more
