  • Well built, fun to flick cards out
Size: 14mm slim Color: Vintage Black
it does exctly what its supposed to and is top notch. Sometimes a thinner wallet woiuld be fine, that would be a differnt design so is not a knock on the wallet,

  • I love my Secrid!
I'm so proud of this new wallet, I want to pull it out at any opportunity. I've been youtubing and amazoning for a new wallet for months trying to decide. The rave on Secrid's quality is far and wide and it's one of the few compact wallets that doesn't use a money clip or elastic strap for bills. I have to be able to carry some cash. I actually have had 12 bills in this wallet without issue (I try to keep less most of the time). I have to admit, not wanting to have the bulk of my previous trifold I cut back on what I put in a wallet. So four cards in the case (debit, Visa, Amex, M/C). I know it will hold more but seriously, how many credit cards do I really need to carry? I can visibly see there's more room in the metal case, but I choose to minimize. In the card pockets I have my license, my healthcare card, and a computer access card. I've always had a separate card wallet for travel with all the hotel, rental, and airline membership cards along with passport. I'm really tickled about this Secrid. It's good looking, great quality, and holds what I need. I've seen reviews complaining about the leather, but thin leather is part of the trick to keeping it thin overall. Not at all cheap leather, but it's cut thin to avoid adding bulk. If you wanted a thick leather wallet, you probably shouldn't be looking for "slim wallets". One thing that's been happening I didn't expect, nearly anyone who sees it wants to know if the cards fall out. I can absolutely attest that the cards do not fall out. I've repeatedly demonstrated it by shaking is upside down with the cards extended even. ... show more

  • Holds 6 cards, not 12 -- should also cost half as much.
Size: 14mm slim Color: Vintage Black
I do not often write a review, but I thought that this item did deserve one. My old wallet had grown to the point that it was a huge mass in my back pocket -- 1.5 inches thick -- so it was time to clean it out and what better way than with the purchase of a replacement. I had seen a YouTube video about 5 men's wallets that were at the cutting edge of technology; however, they were quite expensive and difficult to acquire. This wallet did appear to be sort of similar so I went ahead and made the purchase. It arrived in 2 days thanks to Amazon Prime membership (which I have thoroughly enjoyed). First impressions were mediocre as it was packed in a small black cardboard box that was stuffed in a plastic bag. I believe that the wallet that I received was somebody else's return because the seal on the box was obviously broken. The wallet did not even fit in its box very well. First impression was that I had paid too much. This wallet was $75 which is about double of its actual value -- a much fairer price would have been $35 to $40. The instructions, such as they were, were inserted in the aluminum card holder and it was not obvious how to get them out. I finally was able to shake them down enough to get a hold of them and pull them out. The "button" on the bottom of the aluminum card holder is actually a lever and pulling it down would have ejected the instructions. The aluminum card holder should also act as an RFID shield for the cards therein -- at least if the RFID reader is not too close. Unfortunately, I have no way of checking this out so I will take their word on this. While this wallet is dubbed to hold 12 cards, no way. The aluminum card box will only take 6 cards so long as there are no embossed letters or numbers. There are 2 more card pockets on the leather, but there is no way to put 3 cards in each of them, 2 at most. Right next to the aluminum card box is a little plastic holder for currency. I use a money clip and that is a good thing. This currency holder is made of the cheapest, flimsiest plastic and should have been left off. I would have been quite embarrassed to sell a wallet for $75 with that inside. I will put some business cards in it and never show it to anyone else. Fortunately, I do not even have to open it up to get my cards. When I pull down the lever, they all partially eject upwards. All in all, despite the shortcomings, I expect that I will keep this wallet. Eventually, I will forget that I paid too much. They should have just glued the leather to the side of the aluminum card box and let it open as a bi-fold with just one other card pocket and charged $35 for that. ... show more

  • Decent, better quality options out there for half the price.
Size: 14mm slim Color: Vintage Black
The media could not be loaded. For $90 I do wish this wallet was higher quality, and had a magnet for button to keep the wallet shut. The leather is nice to the touch, although it’s thin, flimsy and loose fitting all around. The ejection on the Secrid wallet was one of the best I’ve ever felt on a pop up wallet until my unit in particular started to get stuck when i popped my cards out. Overall for $90 I don’t recommend the Secrid, and I recommend getting the Vulkit wallet which is half the price at $35. ... show more

  • but it feels great. I've been using a TGT wallet
Size: 14mm slim Color: Vintage Black
Just received it today, but it feels great. I've been using a TGT wallet, which I like a lot but I like this because there's a bit more room. The RFID protector adds a little weight and thickness, but that's expected. It's not much. I've been used to my TGT which is a glorified rubber band (elastic and a little leather) so anything I purchased would have been heavier and thicker. Not sure why not some reviews say the leather isn't good. I'm a big wallet guy and have several, including Montblanc, Tumi, etc. The leather is softer than a stiff Montblanc, but a still leather wouldn't work with the compactness of this wallet. The RFID protector holds 5 cards. I have four credit cards and a drivers license and it's smooth as butter. I tried another flat card (work ID) but no bueno. Too tight. The inside pockets fit 2-3 cards each comfortably. I put my Costco, Sam's, work ID, an unused gift card, and my medical card in those two pockets with no issue. They are too small for business cards (if yours are longer than a credit card). That would have been ideal for me but I have an iphone case that holds those. I don't have a lot of experience with the v-shaped cash holder inside. I threw a 20 in there with no issue but I could see having to put the bills in laid flat rather than folding in half if there's more than 3 bills. Folding those 4+ bills into 1/4's would probably add some girth to the wallet and not close as easily. I would highly recommend this wallet and I'll give a lb update if that changes. Don't see any issues with the RFID and wallet connection. Don't see how people can be surprised that they're glued together. They're two different materials (one is soft and one is hard) so how else would they bond? Great wallet so far. ... show more
