Description

Noah Winters was my heart’s desire, the boy I loved desperately and had hoped to spend my future with. Until our plans were derailed and life took us in completely different directions. When our fate changed, and our paths crossed again, nothing prepared me for the punch to the heart when I saw him . . . or his anger and bitterness. He was no longer the boy I once knew, but a hardened Olympic swimmer with life goals that no longer aligned with mine. All because I lied. But sometimes, hiding the truth was necessary, especially when it freed someone you loved to reach their aspirations and dreams. It’s said that time heals all wounds, but what I found was that it can also create an enemy. That meant I had a choice.Apologize to Noah, and possibly let him into my heart again . . . or allow him to live his life without knowing why I walked away. Without knowing that I never actually wanted to leave.Second Dive is the third book in The Kings Of The Water series. All books in this series can be read as standalones. • Fate
Noah and Chloe two souls tore apart by fear of holding the other back, breaking her own heart more than it already was Chloe sets Noah free so that he may live a full happy life even if it kills her inside. Fast forward a decade so much has happened but there is an electricity that is to hot too handle as they take a second dive into each other. Can they find their way to the surface together or will they be drifting apart? These books keep getting better and better with such strong realistic characters and major life events that are do real to many people. Very well written and can't wait to read the final story. ... show more

  • Rough start but good story
So this was a rough one for me. For starters I didn't like Daisy for the 1st half of the book. Her "apology" was shit and her trickle truth was so frustrating. Like either apologize Like you mean it and put it all out there or don't. The 2nd half I understood her better and could see her point of view better which lessened my ick for her but she was still frustrating. I love all of the information on the topic of her illness, it definitely raises awareness. And Noah's stead fastness is refreshing when a staggering amount of partners leave in these types of situations. The ending was great, especially the bonus chapter, LOVED to see a glimpse of the future and good that they were doing in the mist of certain things being taken off the table for them. ... show more

  • favorite in the series
Noah and Chloe are high school sweethearts. Chloe ends things rather abruptly. 10 years later they see each other again. But it’s not quite the happy reunion Chloe hoped for. I loved that Noah learns what really happened in the past. He steps up major ways and lets 10 years of anger go. Having his sister help him realize what he could be missing out on was such a strong moment. Chloe’s ability to remain positive and accepting of what her life will be is so honest and a bit heartbreaking. After everything she has gone through, she is so strong for herself. So far this is my favorite in the series. This books deals with some intense emotions and a lot of loss. ... show more

  • Beautiful book
I loved reading Chloe and Noah’s story. From the beginning, it’s easy to understand both sides of their story. Their love is visible throughout, even before they reconcile. It’s very hard for me to find an ending that I like and this was the one struggle I had with this book. I found it slow and almost unnecessary. Which is why it ended up with 4/5 ⭐️ instead of 5/5. Very much a highly recommended new adult romance. Spice level is 🌶🌶/5. ... show more

  • A chance to love
Let's first have a moment of silence for this cover because he is fine! Had me really wondering if this was a swimmers body?? Okay okay let's get back on track because this book was everything! Noah intrigued me from the other books. He was reserved and always brooding and in this book we got to uncover his why. Enter Chloe, sweet Chloe had been through more than the average woman at her age. She gave up so much in life because she thought it was the right thing. She shielded her feelings...the love she had in order for Noah to blossom. Unfortunately it left Noah unable to move on...not really. However his career was able to blossom. As this 2nd chance romance unfolded there were a few moments that were just too much. I was unsure if their love would survive. Noah just wanted the chance to choose his girl and although it was scary, uncertain, and imperfect...it was a perfect love story for them. I always love a resilient heroine and Chloe was that! The epilogue was a tease because I wanted to hear from Noah. However, it was beautiful to see their progression. ... show more

  • 3.5 stars?
I didn't enjoy this book as much as I hoped. I understand Chloe's heart condition, and why she didn't want to carry a baby, but could they have considered surrogacy? This book just seemed to have a lot more 'downer vibes' than I need right now.

  • A great book
I really enjoyed reading this book as it had parts that made me feel sad , but the couples love helped them to deal with everything. The ending was great but not quite the way I wanted it to end.

  • Bring out the water(works) 🏊♂️ ❤️💦
All the books in this series have been emotional. The author has a way of pulling feelings out when reading her books. This one by far induced the most tears, but I loved all the angst in it. Chloe makes so many sacrifices to ensure Ryan, the man she loves, has all the opportunities available to him. Even if it breaks her heart. And her heart is a huge part of this romance. I loved Chloe and Ryan’s HEA. It’s is long and hard fought for. ... show more
