I don't know why they sell them in 3-packs. It makes it look like you're getting so much, but each one is only a little over 22 yards. That's not a lot when you're moving. I didn't find that information on the product page. It may be there, but I didn't see it. It's my fault I didn't investigate exhaustively. If they were giving you so much, I feel it would have been big and upfront on the page. I would not order this again. The tape itself is fine, but I really needed two big rolls, not three tiny ones. This is your standard packing tape in a convenient dispenser. The dispenser works okay for me. The teeth for cutting the tape work well however the tape will commonly get stuck back to the tape roll. So it requires a bit of human intervention which can slow stuff down sometimes. It is better than nothing but not as good as a tape gun. Dimensions can be seen in the photos I have attached. Included are three (3) clear packing tape dispensers with 2in x 800in of tape on them. Pros: *Sticks well *Cheap Cons: *Tape sometimes gets stuck back to roll requiring some intervention(-1/2 a star) Additional Considerations: This is standard clear packing tape. If you want an opaque color, find another tape. I recently ran out of packing tape and ordered this product (Scotch Heavy Duty Shipping packaging tape, 2 x 800 – 3 clear tapes) on Amazon for a fair price. The service was fantastic and I received the packaging tape the next day after ordering it on line. Keep in mind that this is the 2 inch size clear packaging tape. I have used different brands of tape in the past but I usually purchase Scotch brand because they are the most popular and quality brand on the market. This is a great tape and adhered perfectly to my cardboard boxes. It dispensed and tore off super easily with the blade and was so clean. I feel like I’ve always had such messy and obnoxious experiences with tape dispensers lol but this one was perfect and effortless! After tearing off, the end floated out and didn’t stick to anything, it was a beautiful taping experience. When I found a three pack for $8 or $9 I thought I hit the tape dispenser jackpot. But what I didn’t notice was these 3 rolls are very small. They are not the size of your normal tape dispenser roll. I did see another reviewer mention this but I didn’t think they were as small as they actually are. It’s fine for what stuff I have to pack up but if you have a big job these will run through quickly. I’m 3/4 done with 1 roll after taping up 6 boxes (using 4 or less strips of tape per box) to give you an idea. Maybe they dispense so well because they’re baby sized, who knows. This is not the thick, industrial-strength packing tape that you get in the large rolls to use with packing tape dispensers. However, if what you need is small, convenient dispensers to keep handy, this tape is great. It's thinner and slightly narrower than it's stronger cousin, but it's very convenient, easier to stash in a bag or car pocket. Very pleased with this purchase. ... show more

    • Good tape! Loud tape!

Good tape, but its LOUD. There is simply no way to apply even a small amount of tape without making an oddly huge amount of crinkly, popping noise from the adhesive being pulled from the roll. I do a lot of packing while my gf sleeps for her night job, and literally cannot use this tape for my purposes because it'll wake her. (2 bedroom apt, decent sized place, this tape can be heard in the bedroom from anywhere inside the apt. no matter how slowly or careful I unreel it). I won't give it less than 5 stars since its not marketed as 'quiet' tape, as far as tape goes, this tape work as expected, and as tape, its fully deserving of 5 stars! This tape is the classic packaging tape you know and love. All three roles covered about 2 rooms worth of packing. The tape in these dispensers are not the longest but they do have the cutting teeth already in place. Having three allows for more people to pack and tape at one time. I would recommend getting at least 6 more roles to pack up a house that's around 1800-sqft especially if you own a lot of stuff. ... show more

Remember on Saturday Night Live they had the Scotch tape store? This is why! You can buy cheaper tape that gets all tangled and sticks to itself, or you can buy Scotch and not waste any. I buy Scotch every time, much better for my blood pressure, and more cost effective. I recommend it highly!
