This is the ultimate Schleich horse playset--the perfect stage for all the many separate sets! It's quite large, so be aware before you buy, that you need about a 18"x18" space for it, and it's not easily disassembled. It would fit on any table easily, but storing it is something I haven't figured out yet, lol! Everything is beautiful--the colors, the impeccable Schleich quality in the figures and accessories. The cards that come with it would be great for the horse enthusiast who knows how competitions work. You can also reconfigure the gates and walls if you'd like--they snap together easily. Assembly took about 15 minutes and requires some elbow grease to snap the parts together. You could forgo attaching the barriers to the floor, if you want to save yourself some effort and let your child arrange them as desired. Also, the price is reasonable for how large the set is. Schleich toys are often relatively pricey, but you get what you pay for--you never get a figure with a wonky face! ... show more

Daughter was so excited for this horse set but the horses escaped the barn because one of the horse gates is the wrong piece leaving the gate open.

This riding arena is huge. It has tons of accessories. It is so fun to play with and really encourages imaginative play. All of the pieces are perfect without any blemishes, dents or scuffs. This set is any child's dream. It really provides hours of fun to my little ones and my nephews when they visit. It is definitely a favorite toy in our home. I'm always impressed with the quality of this particular brand. The attention to detail is commendable. It pairs perfectly with our farm set, as well as our horse stable set. We have several horses and ponies that we use in it from the same brand and they work great with this. The set required assembly and I did have to help my little ones put it together. ... show more

Schleich has always been a family favorite and is well worth the cost if your kids will take care of it. This one is right up there with the typical quality - barns that actually stay together and wont' break, pieces that make sense for pretend play. It's a favorite for my pre teen girls but also for their little brothers and toddlers, who actually slow down and appreciate the detailed aspects of it and quietly study and play with all the little parts - definitely a plus in my book. Most little kid toys are so simplistic but I find the more detailed, the more quiet and introspective the little kids become - a great need in our busy lifestyles to deeply think and play in their heads. Details include fences, food and cleaning supplies for the horses, riders, bridles and other gear, a ton of papers for the riders to practice set patterns with their horse (really nice for older kids!) and lots of little details. Not as many as the old sets of toys which were known for a ton of little pieces, but still a good amount... keep in mind a good chunk of the pieces are for dressage instructions. Cute, but it's a lot less pieces than you think if you are counting those. Still nice, but be aware. Overall I am super happy with this set, I got it for my 5 year old and he loves it to death and is quite proud of it, and his older sisters are super enjoying it as well. Definitely an addition to their barn they already own... they LOVE these horse sets! ... show more
