  • Rather small but cute.
This is a very cute set. Just know that it is a small set. It has everything they might need to pretend they are on a horse ranch, and camping.

  • Beautiful, high quality and durable
Schleich makes high quality toy figurines, and we have several of their Bayala items. This set features a horsebackriding road trip with car, furnished camper/trailer, two people, a horse, a dog and a squirel. Makes a wonderful gift to girls and boys. The animals are beautifuly painted, with great attention to details. They don't articulate, but are very sturdy and stable. The car, trailer, people and furniture included require assembly. The instructions provided are big, bright, with easy to follow, numbered steps. You don't need any tools, but some force nedds to be applied to click the pieces together. Some of them were too hard for my 9 year old to snap together. But once connected, the pieces hold strong, no flimsiness, no falling appart whatsovever. Once the set is put toghether, it will stay toghether worever. The car's doors and trunk open, the wheel turns. People's legs and hands articulate, they can be put on a horse's back to ride on. This set is a perfect balance between a Lego (because it needs to be build/assembled) and an action figures, because all pieces are nicely and realisticaly painted. It is a great set, that can accomodate many play scenerios, and it could be enjoyed by kids from 5 years old - they won't be able to put it together, but they will realy enjoy playing with it. Older kids get a quality time building it, and then palying it. It's not suitable for kids under 5 years old, because it has small pieces and particles. Except for the horse - it's a solid piece and everyone loves horses (sadle, straps and belts are removable). I highly recommend this set, and this company, and we will be expanding our Schleich collection. ... show more

  • More like a model kit than a toy set
This is my first Schleich item ever. I mostly just know them for their statuettes of animals and fantasy creatures. So I was unaware that their other items required building like some kind of Lego set. Don't get me wrong, I like Lego and have too much of it, I just wasn't expecting this level of building. It comes in a decent number of pieces and took me about an hour to get everything built. So, I wouldn't just hand this unopened to a young child and expect them to go play. This set is not for the parent that sees "some assembly required" and starts to get cold sweats. Some of the plastic feels a little flimsy, but once it is all together, nothing feels like it is going to break immediately. It does commit some sticker sins, with stickers over hollow spaces, stickers bigger than the recesses they are supposed to go in, and extra stickers with no real suggestion of where to put them. Another big sin is that the included instruction book is rather large, has quite a few pages, and isn't stapled together. One slip up and you could have pages going everywhere. That said, nothing in the instructions was really confusing and I found it pretty easy to assemble. A few bits are tricky to fully click in and may require adult strength to assemble. But an older child, or younger with guidance, should be able to do most of the building themselves. I am not a Schleich collector and got this with the hopes of using it as an accessory set for my other figures. Using dimensions I found of the pieces it seemed like it would fit in well with 4-inch figures, and I was right. I have pictured it with some figures/vehicles in approximately 1:18 scale including a taxi from Fortnite, Spin Master's DC figures, a Mattel Dr. Grant from Jurassic Park, and Hasbro's 2023 Wolverine from X-Men '97. Everything pictured looks good with this set to me. I don't think 1:12 scale or 6-inch figures or dolls would work with this, but 12-inch or larger dolls could use this set as their own toys or dolls. There is a nice amount of stuff included. The horse is a bit disappointing because it has no articulation, but the reins and saddle fit and were easy to put on. The human figures have good articulation in the legs but just swivels at the shoulders making it hard for them to pose or hold certain objects. There are a lot of accessories, which is nice. There is almost no paint; individual parts are molded in the necessary plastic colors. I like the scale of everything that was included and it all mostly makes sense. There is a storage space in the trailer for holding some of the small accessories, but some stuff will just have to slide around and get messed up if you are driving it around as part of your play experience. As a static model, it will look quite nice, and, opened up, the trailer acts as a nice dollhouse. I am happy with the amount of stuff that will work with my 4-inch figures for photography of casual scenes or for play with helpless civilians caught in-between Superman and a T-Rex. However, I feel you are paying a premium for the Schleich brand. Given what you get for the price, it isn't outright awful, but having to build it yourself means the manufacturer shouldn't be charging for assembly. Here's how I would price it for other similar brands: car with one figure $20, trailer with one figure $25-30, static horse $6, all the other accessories $10-15. So, at maximum I could see this as $75 with a probable bundle discount in most other brands bringing it down to $60ish. This is a nice set, but I feel you have to already be a Schleich collector or only go for premium toy brands like Lego to fully justify a price over $100. ... show more

  • Good quality brand - better for younger kids
This is a nice quality brand that holds up and is sturdy. I have an older model of this trailer (not with the car) and the man that came with has legs that bent out for riding the horse. I do like that this has people that will fit on the horse but can also do other things. My old model the curtains always pop out of the holes, but they stay on better with this one. My 5 year old enjoys this, but she still prefers playing more with her Barbie sets. We do get this down from time to time though and she does have fun playing with it. ... show more

  • Horse Party!
What a fun kit for kids! Whether you're assembling everything piece by piece or just using the pre-built pieces like the horses and people! Since this is for our daughter we let her play with pre-made pieces and we assembled the rest of it for her so she could enjoy it! She really loves the horses and the little people. She also loves taking them apart and taking their hair off :) This kit is great for all ages, and the older the child is the more fun they'll get out of it and less work for you! ... show more

  • Very nice set!
Very nice Schleich set! This one does have many pieces that need to be assembled, so a smaller child might need some help with it. If you have experience putting together things like the Schleich stable, it’s similar to that but smaller. The people have moving parts, which is unexpected! I don’t think we have any other human Schleich figures with moving parts - they all just stay stiff in whatever position they’re made in. So that’s new! If you like Schleich horse sets and want to assemble a lot of pieces, this may be a good set for you! ... show more
