Missing pieces, very disappointed.

    • Don’t worry about the “missing” part, it’s not needed.
Schleich must have made a design change after the instructions were printed. The part that is in the instructions is actually part of the mold that the axles now snap directly into. You can skip that step and rest assured that the tractor builds and plays fine.

I usually give all Schleich toys 5 stars but this tractor was ridiculously complicated to put together, plus it doesnt hold up well. The tires keep coming off, it doesnt stay well connected, it doesnt hold up to imaginative play. It is beautiful and detailed, but is better for collectors and hobbyists rather than children. ... show more

    • Nice toy but missing part or instructions are wrong
The tractor is very detailed and works well when finally put together, but either it is missing a part or the instructions are wrong. The first tractor ordered was missing a part that was listed in the instructions. The second tractor ordered was missing the same part that attaches the wheels to the tractor. But, it looks like the part is not actually needed. With some force, the wheels attached to the axle without the missing part and it is working fine so far. I would give 5 stars for the end result, but the process of putting it together was confusing and frustrating. ... show more

I didn't realize this was going to be a kit to build... but that is okay. It is solid and the instructions are good. It makes it even more fun with your child / grandchild. The parts themselves are very solid and very well-made. Nothing really flimsy about it. A few of the parts are small... so be careful with smaller children. The box says 3+, but I would say with some of the smaller parts, that may be a bit young. That's just me. The bottom of the box was not taped when I got mine. The parts just kind of rattled around in the box. I'm not sure if I got a kit that was returned or what... but nothing was missing and everything was in good shape. You will want to make note of step 4 - my kit did not have those parts and they were not needed. This is where the axles snap in. There is already a molded piece there, so this step does not seem to be necessary. I guess I'll never know. Overall though... the end product is fantastic. Fun to build and play with. It is very well made and the colors are bright. For us, we got this at our house for grandkids to play with. We built it and they played with it for several hours, along with other cars, trucks, and farming toys. Very happy with it. If you find step 4 parts in your kit... let me know. ... show more
