It’s been a while since I’ve done a review, especially a five star one, but I love this dress so much I had to! It was a great price, it fits very true to size and it is SO PRETTY on. The back is really stretchy, so I didn’t have to unzip to get in and out! The dress is well made, and the fabric is very nice! It matched a purple corset I already had, too! Beautiful dress! Fits me well, the zipper is nice although it does stab me in the arm a little if I’m not careful. The fabric is nice and breathable, and not see-through at all. It was also cool enough that I made it through six and a half hours under the florida sun. The fabric for the dress itself isn’t stretchy, but there are elastic parts such as the back of the dress and the bands around the neckline and arms. The height of the skirt hike part is adjustable, as well. I wore it both as an off-the-shoulder dress and as a square-neck dress, and it worked well for both. I’d recommend pairing it with a corset belt. The dress’s pockets are deep enough to hold my iPhone 13 with plenty of room to spare, as well as my wallet and other goodies. I would recommend a strapless bra as it’s not very supportive in the chest, but it was very comfortable to wear regardless. ... show more

I bought this dress to use as a costume and found it suitable for my purpose. The toile-like print is absolutely beautiful. The polyester blend fabric is the typical quality of fast fashion. It is not too thin but has the feel of a shower curtain. The design is flattering on most figures. The fabric has a bit of stretch and the shirring in the back makes the dress expandable. Though not a historically accurate reenactorment piece, it can be styled to resemble different periods, especially if in a solid color. Guided by the size chart, I bought a large. It seems to run big and a medium might have fit better. I am deducting a star because the dress is not offered in petite sizing and because of the plasticky feel of the polyester/elastin fabric. ... show more

As a midsized woman (5’0, 170 lb) with a larger chest (d cup) it is very rare for dresses of this cut to actually fit me and look cute. Scarlet Darkness dresses have been a 10/10. I have bought several of them since this one (size large) and they all fit me the same and they look super cute! The fabric isnt high quality per say as it is just polyester but it isnt uncomfortable and it looks very nice. Plus! Pockets! And a built in slip so it’s not transparent. Very flowy, very princess-y, and I got so many compliments when i wore it out The waist is fairly inflexible with little stretch but most of these dresses have zippers on the side, I was able to get it over my head and chest fairly easy without unzipping at all though and it was comfortable to wear for a full day of walking around. I’d say it’s worth the money if you are someone like me who wanted to feel like a beautiful princess but has been scorned by inaccurate sizing or sewn in busts. ... show more

This Renaissance dress is a bit of a mixed experience. The design is really pretty and has that classic, flowy look you’d expect, which makes it great for events like f airs or themed parties. The colors and overall style are definitely eye-catching. That said, the quality didn’t fully meet my expectations. The fabric feels a little thinner than I hoped, and some of the stitching could be better—especially around the seams. It’s still wearable, but it doesn’t feel as durable as I’d like for repeated use. The fit was also a bit tricky. It looks nice once it’s on, but sizing seems slightly off, so you may need to adjust or size up/down depending on your body type. 36 years old, 5'4", 226 lbs, 40DDD, curvy figure. I bought a 2xl. I bought this for my birthday dress this year and I LOVE it. It is the first time since high school I have felt comfortable wearing a dress without having shapewear underneath it! I felt so beautiful in this dress. I put it on to ask my niece/nephew (nauce) how it looked and their jaw dropped. My boyfriend also thought it looked really pretty on me. I looked and felt like a princess! It was so flattering to my figure. Anyone wondering about the accessory colors, I paired champaign gold with the pink floral dress. I also got a bra simmilar to the off-white fabric color and did it off-the-shouldera and it looked STUNNING. ALSO, I live in hot, humid south. The dress was amazingly breathable and very light-weight. Perfect dress for plus-size people. Also, it was amazingly affordable.
