  • A nice shoe for up tempo runs
Size: 12 Color: Navy
I've run in the Saucony Endorphin Speed line since they came out. The Speed 3 is a decent version (better than the 2). They are comfortable right out of the box, and the nylon sole plate gives a nice springy feel. They are not extremely cushioned, and for me at least, not suitable for a marathon (I use a Hoka Mach X for marathons). For reference, I'm 68 years old, 6'1" and 155 lbs - your results may vary. ... show more

  • Great running shoes
These shoes offer some rigidity without being as radical as carbon plated shoes I've recently purchased. Carbon plated shoes may take an adaptation period for injury prevention. These Sauconys are light AND well cushioned. I've only run in them about a half dozen times, so I'd be remiss to account for their durability. I like them so much that I may Shoe Goo the outsoles, like I used to do to my my blown.rubber outsoles of the Nike Air Alphas I ran in during the 1990's. ... show more

  • comfortable shoe
This is my 2nd pair and just as good as first. I run 2-3x/week moderate distances and shoe holds up great, is lightweight and well-cushioned. Good value for comparable shoes.

  • Best running shoe I ever tried
This is strictly a running shoe, if you are looking for a pair of walking shoes or cross trainers, you won't want these. I have used these in a one mile run, a 15 mile run, and a half marathon. This shoe helped me get a PR in the half marathon. It is by far the lightest shoe I have ever worn. The sole material feels like it was made out of Styrofoam, but it it has held up remarkably well. I had a tendency to run a little too fast in them because they just make me want to run fast. They are a little unstable at first, but once I ran in them for a while they were fine. They also felt a little slippery on wet pavement, but I never lost control of them. They roll nicely from heel to toe. They feel soft and springy. The soft sole never got squished down and hard like some shoes. I am six feet tall, 175 pounds, size 11.5, and ran a 2 hour 10 minute half marathon in them. ... show more

  • Runs small, weird padding fit
The shoes are a very thin sturdy top material that breathes very well. The soles have good grip for road shoes, without too much lift to make you apt to twist an ankle. The fit is a bit odd. The shoes run very small, I usually wear a US 9 to 9 1/2 (EU 42-43), but the US 10 (EU 44) I have might be a little small for me still. My uncertainty comes from the really weird padding in the sole. There's a dip in the forefoot area that feels like it should be for the ball of the foot, but it's so far back in the footbox that I'd have to go up to about an EU 47 or 48 to get it positioned there. Maybe that's the expectation though, there should be a huge gap (2+ inches) between your toes and the end of the shoe? My already sized up shoes do occasionally start wearing on my toes so maybe that's it. The padding for the soles is very good regardless. It's durable without being overly cushy (losing power from your stride) or overly stiff. ... show more

  • Fast
Perfect shoe for mid distance training. Super comfortable, and very responsive. Also very light at about 8.1 ounces. They’ve been great so far. The mid soles do feel not as dense as other running shoes, so the overall lifespan might be slightly reduced. But I’m sure I’ll still be able to get 4 or 500 miles out of them ... show more

  • Great running shoe!
Size: 7.5 Color: White/Navy
Have been a 10+ year Altra shoe runner. Decided to get some of these after trying on some cushion shoes. I only wanted 8mm heeldrop max. Training for my first Marathon. I use these on most of my runs, tempo, slow, intervals and some speed work. Ive enjoyed them so far. Alot different than I am used to in a shoe for running. But i feel like since ive gotten the strong feet these really have made my turnover more smoothly, and save my legs alot. Adjusting to a more midfoot rather than a forefoot strike was a breeze in these. I still wear my altras and go barefoot alot. strong feet matter. These simply save my legs along with the endorphin shift for my longer runs. The shoes dont make you run better, i think most people think that an expensive pair of shoes make them a better runner. Go to the basics, work on form, stregth and simply run a little slower. I hate jumping on the hr zone 2 thing but it does work. Build your endurance up slowly, take 2 months then start adding in some faster intervals. Watch your times go down. Eat proper, learn about sodium and carbs, cause i can say that has changed my life. Go buy some Endorphin Speeds! ... show more
