One thing I will stress is use the Satin creme developer vol 20 with it and not another brand. It makes a hugeeee difference. I've been using this brand for years and will continue to do so. Only Bleach that makes my hair feel soft after bleaching it. Before picture was blue that I dyed over red to make purple( about 6 months after I originally dyed it). And I dyed red over pink(over a year and a half ago) and never bleached between colors. After picture is this Bleach removing the blue and the red, leaving me with the pink I dyed forever ago lol. Which is perfect, I'm doing orange next. I didn't touch the top part of my hair yet because I always underestimate how much hair I actually have and didn't have enough Bleach for the top part of my hair Still, no matter what you use, always take precautions bleaching your hair. It is so easy to damage and cause hair loss by improperly using Bleach or using too strong of Bleach.

Simple to use. I have never bleached my hair before, but I have had it professionally dyed as well as at home. My natural color is light brown, but I have had it dyed dark brown/burgundy/red for most of my life. I have allowed my hair to grow for about a year without dye. I used Prism Lights bleach a few days ago about mid-shaft down but ran out (during quarentine...) and decided to risk an unfamiliar brand. Since I have coarse, pre-precessed hair, I use a 20 volume developer, but you can use 20, 30, or 40 with this. I applied this bleach about 4" from the roots (Im preparing to do an ombre) and allowed 45 minute processing time starting at the time I first apply the bleach. I wash the first side I applied the bleach to and then the other, allowing the bleach to process the other side. I rinsed thoroughly and lightly applied shampoo before using Ion after-color, letting it soak for 5 minutes. My hair feels healthy and is exactly what I expected. Since I have a lot of red in my hair, the color is a soft orange, which is to be expected. I purchased a purple shampoo to offset the reddish orange tones which I will apply in about 48 hours to give my hair a rest. A few days after, I will apply my deep purple to pale lavendar dye and I expect it to go well! Definitely recommend using this if you are very comfortable and have researched to ensure you are taking all the necessary steps to protect and strengthen your hair during the process.

I'm only giving 4 stars because of the price increases over the past year. First couple purchases were $1.99 each, then it went up to $3.50 each, now it's over $5.00 each. Not worth it for 1 packet. It worked well, bleached my son's hair twice back to back. This bleach was able to lighten his hair to a pale yellow. First picture you'll see before picture, first bleach, second bleach, toner (wella t18) second picture is another time we bleached twice then colored his hair with the lightest blonde. His hair did fine, it was dry after the bleaches which is expected, he used Olaplex for a week or two and his hair was back to normal. We also used permanent hair color, all same day. I don't recommend that, but if you have virgin hair you should be OK to do it in one day.

I loved this stuff and will definitely get it again if I ever need to lighten my hair again. I used this to remove orange-brown color that was leftover from the dark brown/red dye I'd put on my natural blonde hair for about a year. I'd spent a few months using "around the house" methods to lift off the dye and was stuck at a orange brown color when I found this. I followed the standard advice of starting at midshaft of the hair, then the ends, then up higher on the hair, but avoided my roots since they were grown out. I did use foils and then put a shower cap over it to make sure that the bleach didn't dry out in order to ensure that my hair lightened evenly and that I could get the most out of bleach, then left it on for 45 minutes and rinsed before shampooing out the remaining bleach and conditioning for about 10 minutes. It got rid of the brown orange color and wasn't too yellow, and my hair actually felt really healthy. My hair was softer than it's been in months and there were no traces of orange left. Now, I wasn't starting with virgin hair, I was removing old red/brown dye, so I don't know if this might work better on virgin hair, but I do know that using foil and a shower cap or plastic bag will ALWAYS help your end result!

SO gentle on hair, doesn't dry out or damage it like most bleaches/lighteners. I have very dark hair and this lifted probably 3 levels and my hair was still soft.

I bought this because the brand I usually bought was going to take too long to arrive. This was just not as good of quality as I’m used to with other brands. It also seemed to irritate the scalp, which has also never happened with the trusted name brand. It also took longer to activate (which could have contributed to the scalp), and I feel I learned a lesson overall about using unknown or off-brand hair bleach.
