It was a good deal compared to everything else I was looking at so I was a little skeptical but so far everything is working as intended. I am very happy with this phone. It has outstanding performance. The data transfer rate sending data to my SSD external cards is three times faster than my galaxy note ten. . I am mainly concerned with performance and this phone either meets or exceeds the standards that I expect.

I guess I forgot why I stopped using Samsung products years ago. They don't stand behind their wildly overpriced products and have terrible customer service. I use my phone for work. WiFi stopped working. Samsung tech support attempted to fix it and completely screwed up my settings. Sent me to uBreakiFix locally who refused to work on it because Samsung had tried to solve the problem. Samsung tried to send me back to uBreakiFix. Then, Samsung said I would have to mail it in, and it would take 2 to 3 weeks to repair. I use my phone for work and cannot be without it that long. With the plethora of refurbs on the market, Samsung could swap them. I will not buy a temp phone as all of my contacts, emails would have to be reprogrammed twice. This was an $1,800 phone not a $20 burner. Not to mention, Scamsung apparently has a policy to send customers to various departments to sit on hold until the customer either gives up trying to obtain warranty service or forces an inconvenient resoluation for the customer. After a day of chasing my tail, I decided to trade it in for a OnePlus Open. OnePlus offers same day replacement for about $50. Would have bought their phone when I bought this fold, but they did not have a fold at the time. Now they do. OnePlus is a lot cheaper than Scamsung too. Samsung is blacklisted . . . again. Moreover, remodeling and had planned on purchasing the 77" S95C. Lost a $3,500 sale to LG. Dropped the Samsung kitchen appliances in the remodel for GE Cafe too. That was $15k. I bought this and the S22 Ultra to test out for a few days as an upgrade to my S20+. (Side note: I considered the new iPhone 14 Pro Max, but I can't shake the restricted OS of Apple...not yet at least.) I ended up sticking with the S22 Ultra, for an upgraded camera system, bigger screen than the S20+, and lighter/more simple usage than the Fold. With that being said... the Fold 4 (compared to a non-foldable phone): Pros - Arguably no better phone out there that is better for productivity if you need multiple windows or applications running -- or if you simply wish to do so! - Very quick processing, which aids in the multiple application usage or simply loading applications - Durability and quality is better than expected. Watch some videos online if you wish to see some stress tests on it. Neutral - Weight has okay for me, though some may find it annoying if not coming from a heavier phone like the iPhone or another folding phone Without going into too much detail, this is an upgrade from the Fold 3, but for those who own the Fold 3, you may be better off waiting, unless price is no option - The fold's crease is still noticeable, but it has been greatly improved. It may bother some, though I was also fine with this aspect. Cons - The "single" screen is quite skinny if you don't wish to unfold the device. It may be okay if you have smaller hands or use one handed screen options - Front-facing, "selfie" camera is lower quality than you may expect. It isn't horrible, but it isn't good - Price is very high, even at the lowest storage option - One of my personal cons the was a deciding factor was that this phone, when unfolded, is almost like a square. Thus, if you are buying the phone for a bigger screen to watch movies, shows, or videos, the aspect ratio doesn't won't make it any grander. Sure, you can fill the screen and show off, but then you are losing edges of the video. Forgive the lack of details in this review, as I am quickly typing it up here. Long story short, the display, cameras, functions, and features on the S22 Ultra (even the iPhone 14 Pro Max) will be just about as good, as good, or even better when compared to the Fold 4. When the price is significantly higher compared to flagship phones of other companies, I cannot justify buying one personally, UNLESS you are deeply embedded into Android's multitasking features and wish to take it a step further (ex. you wish to watch a video on how to bake a dessert while having a notepad open to jot things down, while looking up on the web for similar baking instructions, all the while awaiting a text response from a friend). Overall: great phone, but pricey unless you plan to use it to its fullest -- or you wish to show off that you have arguably the best foldable phone on the market. ... show more

I ended up returning this phone. I’ve been playing with the various foldables and this one specifically caught my eye. On the surface it’s a super slick phone. The fold out front facing camera is hidden by the screen when not in use which is super cool. The cameras are pretty decent. Screen quality is top notch. Phone is quick, responsive and easy to use. However I returned this one because it’s just too large. Using it while folded, due to its slight V shape it’s awkward to hold. Taking calls on it can become awkward due to this. While folded out it’s sweet, it acts like a normal tablet. The keyboard adapts appropriately, and I loved it. However being that I already own a tablet, as a phone I found myself reaching for other devices. All told I’d recommend this phone to people who want a true Phablet device, cos it does that perfectly. Just not for me. ... show more
