Based on other reviews, I ordered the standard instead of wide calf even though I generally order wide calf boots. I have a 15 1/2 16 inch calf in these fit perfect. I also 7 1/2 to 8 in tennis shoes and I ordered an 8 1/2 so I had room for socks and they have just enough room for thick socks without being huge and still not super tight. Buy them! I wear them out working with farm animals and they are water resistant, heavy duty, real leather boots. The zipper makes them incredibly easy to get on and off even when your feet gets sweaty. These are the only boots I have bought in the last several years and these are my second pair.
