A little snug when I first tried them on, but after walking around a while I realize they fit just fine. I have used these for just golf, best golf shoes I have ever had. I was concerned about scuffing the greens with the aggressive tread on the bottom but this has not been an issue. I walk 18 holes (pushing a cart) 3 or 4 days a week and after 6 rounds there is no evidence of wear on the bottom. I do try to keep off the cart path and walk on grass as much as I can. Comfortable, durable, good looking, and the easy pull up "laces" all equal a great product. These are waterproof and I just bought a second pair (of the non-waterproof version) for summertime use.

I've had my pair of Salomon Speed Cross 5 GTX since Apr. 2023 and they still surprise me each time I slip them on. If my feet could talk they would probably describe these shoes as comfy house slippers with cleats. I appreciate the next level of engineering that went into these shoes. From the stealthy gortex shell to the quick-release wire lases. Water and debris won't get in and so easy to put on for a quick step outside without tying any lases. BRAVO. I have very high arches making it so so difficult to find shoes that don't hurt my feet. My feet require a wide toe box and extra cushion under the ball of the foot. To make these shoes perfect for me, I paired them with the AIRR Softsole Perform inserts.

I'm really really impressed. The tread has worked flawlessy so far for me through grass, gravel, mud, tree roots and general matted trails. I understand now why they market the Ortholite cushioning so much. It's a great balance of giving but firm, comfortable to run in but still sturdy enough to inspire confidence regardless of terrain. The goretex shell is really why I bought these and I'm not disappointed. It's done well wrapping over the sole and will keep you dry thru a few inches of deep mud, snow, or puddles with ease. The lacing system I was skeptical about, I've tried various sport laces in the past with road sneaks and was always left disappointed. But these work great. Very easy to loosen and tighten, the actual lace is more like braided wire than a fabric shoelace and it does not give at all. The fit was great, they really hug your foot. Might feel a bit tight at first but after a few miles it'll form to your foot and all is good. Just be aware, these are meant for crummy conditions. If all you encounter are smooth dry trails there are other shoes that you'll like more. But if you're running thru snow, mud, rain or just really rough trails these will fulfill your needs.

Love the colour, fit, feel! Materials are top notch and I can wear them for over 12 consecutive hours with no foot pain! Made for running, but I wear them for nursing! Run larger then other Salomons. Says men but I had to exchange for a size 9 US. In women's Salomon I wear a 9.5 US. 🤷♀️

The shoe runs a little small. I wear a size 13, but got a 14 in the Salomon. It fits perfectly and the traction cannot be beat. I am looking forward to the next time I use them.

I owned a pair of Salomon hiking boots years ago that were comfortable and durable, so I thought I'd give these shoes a shot. After a week I give them a thumb's up. Below are some pros and cons: Pros: *Quality material and manufacturing *Comfortable *Light weight *Solid tread *Easy slip on and cinch lace tech *Lace cinch tucks into tongue of shoe Cons: *Narrow *Tight at first, but they do stretch after a few wears *The color is a bit off. On Amazon they look gray, but mine have a bluish tint *Solid tread designed for trails, not sidewalks Compared to other shoes, these are on the tight and narrow side. If you float between shoe sizes based on the brand, go with the larger size. I like these for the gym since they are functional, attractive, and aren't the run of the mill shoes everyone else is wearing. Finally, no fault of the shoes, but the delivery time was much longer than other products on Amazon. If you need the shoes ASAP, try elsewhere.
