We have steep stairs going into our basement. They are wood laminate and are slippery with socks on. Last year when my daughter in law came to visit and her feet slipped out on her. She slid down the last six stairs and luckily wasn’t seriously injured. This year she is visiting with her new baby. We needed to address the issue. Heaven forbid she slip again and hurts herself or our grand baby. These strips were perfect. They were easy to install, and the gritty surface gives you tons of no slip grip. Love them. My wife wasn’t keen about me wanting glow in the dark edges, but once she saw how easy it is to see where the steps are at night she is sold on them. Thanks for making a product the keeps us and those we love safe.

So you have non slip treads but if you don’t staple them down you’ll trip over them Stop laughing We had to secure ours a few times to figure out the least number of nails to do the job With the first rain the glue unstuck That being said They work well on frosty /icy mornings and I love the reflective strip at night when it’s dark Practical and useful We’ve had them one month and I’m not sure how long they will last since the edges keep popping up & we throw on another staple.

Have 3 cement steps into the subbasement that can get quite slippery when wet. After my brother fell I needed to do something. Removing the backing was easy and had no issues with sticking. So far these have adhered very well and eliminated my accident waiting to happen! So far very happy with the product.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, wooden steps can get dangerously slippery -- especially during the long, wet winters. I installed these things last year. They were pretty easy to put on. Care has to be taken initially to make sure the steps are clean and dry before installation. One year in, they are still in place, they still have the non-slip texture, and the bright yellow reflective strip is still… well bright, yellow and reflective! They do show a bit of wear from all the foot traffic, but, they are far, far safer than the plain wooden steps. Purchased in July, 2021. It is now April, 2023, over the last few months the adhesive gave up completely and the strips all curled up and are falling off. So -- useful life expectancy -- about 1.5 years.

Just as the description reads, these do the trick. I added these strips on our wood stairs that lead out of our detached garage into our backyard. This was mainly for our dog who often times would slip on the wood stairs. Once he overcame the new sensation on his paw pads, he can now walk up and down the stairs without problems. Knowing that family members will not slip when the souls of shoes are wet is a big win. I don't recall if the yellow strip is suppose to glow in the dark (it does not), but the color stands out should that be important towards your decision-making.

Brought this product in October 2023. Applied in on my exterior steps whereby it is exposed to rain and sunshine. Usual path of walking the steps. Come January 2024 these have peeled off , adhesive gone, flew away. So it’s clear these are poor quality material and cannot sustain the rain and sunshine. Avoid buying.
