I was super skeptical, but for only like $10 I went for it. I’m VERY impressed! It will probably tarnish and turn my neck green in time, but for now I love it. Shiny, beautiful, delicate, and I have gotten SO many compliments. Seems fairly sturdy, price and material considered. It has quite a bit of size difference between the smallest clasp and the widest, so it would be an easy gift if you don’t know the width of someone’s neck. Overall, I’m loving it. This necklace is a great value. I wanted a more expensive version but wasn’t sure I’d like the way it looked on me. I got this one first thinking if I don’t love it, I won’t be out much money. Well, I love it. There’s really no reason to buy the more expensive version. I take it off before showering and before swimming. I’ve worn it every day since I received it. It came in a cute little box and would make a great gift. I’m 33 and recently saw a 15 year old girl wearing one, so it’s apparently cute for all ages. Not sure how the plating will hold up but so far, so good. If it starts turning my neck green or anything I will update, but I don’t see that happening. While this necklace is super cute and dainty, it made me break out in red, itchy bumps on my neck. Granted, I have sensitive skin and am sensitive to certain metals, so this may not be applicable to people who are not sensitive. I checked the comments and I didn’t see any about the necklace affecting anyone negatively and in fact only saw comments about how this didn’t affect people with sensitive skin so I was surprised that it made me break out the way it did. I only wore it for two hours, I took it off before bed because it’s dainty and I didn’t want to break it, and I woke up scratching my neck. It didn’t bother me at all while I wore it the night before so I was surprised. The itchy bumps took days to go away, almost a full week. They weren’t pimples, there wasn’t any pus or heads. Just red and itchy clustered bumps right where the necklace sat on my neck. Again, I have a sensitive skin so if you do, I recommend looking on Etsy for a real gold one. I found a few that were cute and reasonably priced and look quite similar to this one. I absolutely loved the look of this necklace so if you don’t have sensitive skin it might be worth the risk to try it out. ... show more

So I suppose it is defective, Just got it today, will update as to durability, any tarnishing but it is very pretty. I managed to get the hook into one of the tiny loops so we shall see...Edit on 8/12/2020. So ti does tarnish but uh-oh, wrose than that my neck inexplicably started itching after a few days of constant wear. Thought bc I eat a mostly keto/carnovore diet it was my cheats of a some chocolate chip cookies but the only area itching was my neck, hmmm. Took it off, and after about two weeks my neck is still driving me a bit crazy with itching. No flea bites, no excess of sugar which would make my entire body itch and I have zero allergies to nickel, silver, gold-plating or gold. I dont what this necklace is made of but I would return it if I could, glad to have it off my neck tho it's pretty. Now putting anti-itch cream on my neck every other day, groan. It can only have been this necklace, nothing else changed and at least it has improved since removing it. A real shame but I do NOT recommend buying this necklace. ... show more
