  • Fantastic
My husband has a suprapubic catheter, and whomever designed this was very understanding of the individual needs such like my husband. This has been a blessing for him, he has the confidence to wear shorts and fo out in public. I read the reviews before hand and even though with some it leaked shortly afterwards, we decided to try it. If you change the bag at least every 2 weeks, there will be no leakage. The leak comes from the drainage tube where you tighten and loosen the cap to drain. As far as urine smell, that too is taken care of as long as you change your bag every 2 weeks. Any longer you will start to smell the urine. ... show more

  • Super easy to use but check for leaks.
I have been using a belly bag with my own design catheter (90 degree elbow - to "hug" body" and attach to the bag - see photo) for almost 10 years. The bags are incredibly easy to wear, use and maintain -- WAY (and I mean "WAY") better than ANY leg bag on Earth!!!! And for those that think that gravity only goes "down" - the belly bag fills because of the pressure within your bladder - NOT gravity - so having the valve in the direction it is located - and the bag around the "belly" - makes 100% sense!!! To prevent leaks the catheter should be mated to the valve stem with A LOT of force - which will keep it in place - running, swimming, other sports - including contact are ALL totally possible with the belly bag - and NO-ONE will EVER know you are wearing it - unless you WANT THEM TO!!!! The ONLY reason this I have rated the product a "3" and NOT a "5" (the functionality IS a five - but the quality of manufacturing is a ONE "1"!!!!) In my experience, EVERY SINGLE one of these that I have EVER worn - eventually leaked through either a pin-hole along an edge seam, or a plastic "weld" seam between the valve material and the bag itself. A 100% possible failure rate!!!!!!!! I typically keep 3 of these "ready" (washing and drying 1, while storing a 2nd and wearing a third - a three day "rotation") - after 3 months I throw all 3 OUT - as they WILL begin to leak!!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!!! I clean the one worn every day (and then rotate to the next one of the three) - with Clorox spray cleaner with bleach - both inside and outside the bag - and then let it dry. These keeps the bacteria count really low. The bag smelling fresh and clean!!! In spite of the OVERALL "3" rating - I HIGHLY recommend this product for its FUNCTION - just use it within its material and manufacturing limits and then throw it away BEFORE it begins to leak!!!! ... show more

  • these work great, needs a better securement systm and a way ...
these work great, needs a better securement system and a way so that the back doesn't irritate th skin “This product works wonders for me. So much better then a typical 1000 ML leg bag while having the same 1000 ML capacity Gone is the bag slipping down your leg or straps leaving marks on them. Can easily be hidden under underwear/shorts and unless you let it fill more then halfway up when it starts to bulge out, no one even notices it This bag needs a strap at the bottom to hold it in place as the single strap above tends to slip from the weight Plus you need to find a sweet spot for the strap, too loose and it slips, too tight and it constricts your chest creating an hour-glass figure. this bag could benefit from having a swivel for the re-flux valve , and some extra tube between it and catheter as it tends to yank your urethra vertically without more tube. Lastly the twist turn valve works, but it's cumbersome and a pain to unscrew or tighten, would really benefit from a T tap valve at the bottom instead” these two pictures show the bag at full 1000 ml capacity from over night ... show more

  • Belly Bag used with indwelling foley cath,
I've only used this in my pool. I was concerned about it working w/an indwelling foley going against gravity but no problem at all. The thing I don't like though is that the back of the bag is made so it's easy to remove and reinsert the belt, I'm guessing but that makes it so that if the belt isn't very tight around your waist and the bag begins to fill it actually starts to sag and pull down off the belt in an unbecoming fashion. I suppose under more supportive clothing and tighter belt it might be better. I will try it out. I'm gonna buy another. What Freedom and comfort though in my pool without a leg bag plus not having to look at the ugly thing. Kudos to whoever thought this thing up. It works, gravity be damned! 😂🤣😁😆 about the twist closure, I hate them because I've had accidents w/them on leg bags, I put tape around it after I make sure it's tightly twisted shut. That works well on the leg bag would think it'd do the same on this but yes should be a flip or clamp on discharge outlet. ... show more

  • Provides new freedom and ease of use.
There are only two disadvantages - 1) Medicare does not pay for this urological supply and 2) the bag is a bit pricey but well worth the money for the freedom it brings. I was always tired of having to wear long, baggy shorts in the summer to hide a leg bag and still had "whoops" moments. With the belly bag, you can't tell as it is well hidden in the lower abdomen area. ... show more
