I hike a lot, and sometimes I either forget to wear sunscreen or just don't want to. It's not summer right now, but I appreciate this shirt's features and construction. The hood is great: should keep my neck from looking like a lobster. And the thumb holes ensure the sleeves remain covering my arms. There's also the little loop on the left sleeve (upper arm) for holding sunglasses or maybe a pen, although I think using it for that would result in some swinging around. Maybe not the most practical thing. In the winter, they add a little warmth, but when hiking, I suspect flowing air will help with evaporative cooling. ... show more
