Description

Looking for a handy place to mount your accessory switches that doesn't require cutting or other modifications? The Rugged Ridge A-Pillar Switch Pod has premolded cutouts to allow you to mount up to four aftermarket switches in easy reach on the driver's side A-pillar, and out of the way of the shifter handle. Our Pillar Pod has the textured molded finish just like the factory plastic pillar cover it replaces. It snaps into place just like the OE!

  • Fits great but pain to cut
Fits great but was a pain to cut out the holes . You must use a hot blade .

  • Pretty darned nice A post pod
Nice addition and great place to set up all my switches. Im kind of disappointed that it does not fit exactly as it should but its not so bad that it cant be used. Its a bit wider than it should be. Its held in place with a snap in clip that you remove from the existing pillar cover and 1 screw that you removed and a piece of pre-applied tape that wont touch anything because of the mold being slightly wider than it needed to be, so its pretty useless. You can press it in to make contact but with in a few minutes, mine popped right back off. It does not rattle or move what so ever so it fits well but is just molded a bit too wide where it goes over the A pillar. It obstructs the side of the speaker on top of the dash which is where I used to set my sunglasses so they dont slide all over the dash. The plastic is easily scratched so be very careful in removing the blanks for switches. They are pretty hard to cut out with out cutting off any thing you need to keep attached to your hand. You cant really get in from the back to cut them out. I used a razor knife / box cutter, went slowly and still managed to get a nice deep scratch in the third slot down. ... show more

  • Nice Look and Function
Product is as described, fit was good on my 09 JK Unlimited. The only real issue I had was the spacing between the switch cut outs needed to be bigger for the laser etched blue led rocker switches I purchased. The cuts outs were tough for sure but made for a great tight fit for the rocker switches. Dremel tool and hobby knife did the job in a couple hours. The mictun rocker switches had to be filed down on both side for them to fit. If you have an issue with filing the switches down purchase switches shown with the A Pillar Pod. ... show more

  • Good product
Purchased this to put 4 rocker switches in for my 2010 Jeep wrangler. It is a great product, they could make it a bit easier to cut out the holes for the switches, but that's not that big of a deal. The only problem that mine had is that while it fit okay, the way it was molded it squeezed itself closed so that there was a separation between it and the body panel above it. I was able to get the edge of it caught on a little lip of the frame and after a few 100 degree days this summer it stayed that way and is now fine. I don't know if mine was a shipping issue, an issue with how it was stored, or an issue with the original mold. Either way pretty easy to fix and work through. ... show more

  • Great Switch Pod
Looks great and not to hard to install. Hardest part was cutting out the notches to install the switch.

  • Requires cutting.
Requires cutting. 'No cutting or other modification' in the description is wholly inaccurate. Not only does it require cutting, be careful as the impressions that are guides are not very deep thus you have to do some serious cutting; it would not take much to make a mess of you new toy. Another note on the impressions, they are too small. Over all fit is ok. Although it uses the clips from the factory unit to snap into the windshield pillar, it fits loosely to some extent. It looks and feels mostly solid, but not as good as the factory unit. Color and texture are ok. The texture is dead on with the factory plastic pieces. the color is close but definitely not the same. A general glance and you might not notice it, but I would say probably 50% not looking will notice the difference. I would recommend it as it gives you enough room to properly wire up 4 switches in the pilar area along the windshield. Just keep in mind what you are getting. If you want an exact match and you want exact fit, you might have a body shop paint it and custom fit it. For me, it works well. ... show more

  • Looks great!
Installed with a couple of lighted marine switches to control light bar and cube lights. Installed on 2009 Jeep Wrangler unlimited X. Looks great and fits perfectly.

  • Thought you didn't need to cut anything
The description says that there's no cutting involved. Haven't installed it yet, but cut th4 1st hole for the switch. Used a Dremel tool, razor blade, and a file. I hope I didn't screw up the second hole.
