    • As a big-handed man, they fit me... But rubber gloves was the wrong choice.

As someone with large hands, I was a bit shocked to read all the "too large!" comments. I had the expectation that they would be too large for even my colossal hands. I was surprised to find that the glove-section fit me perfectly. As they are molded rubber, the articulation in the fingers isn't particularly good. Bending the fingers can cause some discomfort (pinching rubber) in the bending areas, so if you intend to fight crime with these, you might want to do what others have suggested, and cut off the glove section, and replace it with a real glove that actually fits. If you leave the glove alone, be aware that the rubber in the fingers will eventually start to rip at the joints, due to the constant bending. I will need to fit padding in the forearm section to help the gloves keep their form, and they'll need to be painted, as they come in a speckled sliver. I will let the rubber gloves stay for this holiday season, but I will be replacing them for future use. If you have large hands, give these a shot. But be aware that they will need work to look good. ... show more

First of all we sent back the 1st set because the fingers were all pressed tightly closed and when we received the second set they were just the same. I spent about 45 min. working on pulling the fingers open on all 10 fingers and thumbs using the handle of a wooden spoom. Once this was done I realized DO NOT allow the fingers to collapse or they will become stuck together again. I have long fingers and they barely reach the tip ends so this is not for a small handed person. However these are very thick gloves and obviously sturdy since I had to use the handle of a wooden spoon to help get the fingers open. ... show more

I have ordered Rubie's items before and were completely happy with other items, which made me even more completely disappointed in the utter lack of quality of these gloves. The picture is misleading and makes them look much better than they actually are. Granted, the do photograph just like that, but beware, that is not what they look like in person. They are one solid rubber molded piece, that is sparkley silver, not black. And that top claw is not anywhere near in line with the others. But the biggest problem of all, and why I will be returning them, is that they are ridiculously humongous! Like clown-sized big! If they actually fit, it would be possible to paint and modify them into something cool ... but I also should not have to mod an item that cost almost $30! But the utter hugeness of the size makes modding them impossible. Again, sorely disappointed in both Rubie's and Amazon, who lately has an abundance of bad products in their market :( ... show more

Sizes run really large. Paint job is little more than a silver/gray basecoat - so good if you're creative, but not great if you're trying to just snap something together for a fast costume. Latex is decent quality and the gloves are durable, so that's a bonus. As a base template for a more indepth cosplay, this is a decent item. If you want to see your 5 year old running around with absurdly giant gloves - also good. Not great for general costuming though. ... show more

I liked that I could cut them down and make them wrap around my forearm with velcro that easily glued on. Had to completely trim off the gloves which make no sense, they were massive. These gauntlets were designed after welding gloves for sure. Unless your Andre the Giant. They won't fit you. After customization and plasti dip. They worked perfect! ... show more

I read a lot of the reviews before purchasing and still made the decision to buy. These are goofy large. The material they're made of does not make the gloves usable. The reviews that say to cut the hands off of these and add your own gloves is entirely the way to go. You have to take the bracers that are left and customize them to fit. They are huge otherwise. So, they have a good price, but don't expect to use them out of the box. ... show more
