This was my THIRD attempt at getting the Beetlejuice costume. First one ran too small. The second one I purchased was a different manufacturer, with the costume made of cheap, silky material, which made the suit coat kind of ‘limp”. Easy to figure out. Easy to put on. Not uncomfortable. Looks good but probably my only advice is to rub it in the dirt when you get it cause its just to bright white to be Beetlejuice.

    • Good costume, worth the extra cost over the standard version
I purchased both this costume and the standard version, both in "Standard" size. Neither one of the costumes includes the wig or makeup. Of the two versions I much prefer this deluxe costume. For reference I am 5'11", 195 lbs and wear a 42 Regular. The deluxe costume (Rubie's #888736) uses a matte woven fabric that resembles suit-type material. The jacket has a single button closure, is snug in the armpits, but the sleeves are the correct length. If I button the jacket I need to suck in my gut in order to prevent it from stretching and pulling at the button. The lapels on the deluxe jacket have a much better appearance over the standard version but the jacket is not lined. The included dickie with tie comes down almost to the waist on the front and the back, and it has strings on the sides to tie it. I did not try on the pants but they use a cinch and tie closure. I plan on wearing my own white shirt and black tie to complete the look of the costume. EDIT: The pants have a Velcro closure and are a little snug and I needed to use a safety-pin to keep them from opening. The costume looked great at our Halloween party! The standard costume (Rubie's #888735) on the other hand uses a shiny, satin-esque, very thin material. The jacket has a single dot of Velcro where the button should be and the lapels are backed with foam, which look like they will flip over to expose the reverse side and ruin the look of the costume. The included dickie with tie is very small, it only covers the front and ends just below the chest area. The jacket is snug in the armpits and the sleeves are too long, but sized correctly across the chest. Again, I did not try on the pants but they also have a cinch and tie closure similar to pajamas. The standard costume looked fine, but for me it was worth the extra cost for the deluxe version. ... show more

This was perfect size. I am over 6 ft tall at 210 lb. Only problem is the top of the pants are held together by velcro, which kept popping open. Easy fix with a bobby pin.

This was a great start to our costume! My boyfriend sweats like crazy so I like that the “undershirt” is just a little flappy-do that ties on either side so he was cool all day wearing it and walking around. The pants were also elastic. He wears Large typically (shirts and pants) and he said it all fit good. We ended up using a Ben Franklin wig for the hair. I spray painted the forehead part white and then used green hair paint and hairspray to get the look. I also added some green eyeshadow (mixed with setting spray to make the color more intense) to the forehead for that “moss-y” look. ... show more

It fit pretty decent! Runs a bit small and no stretch but it was great! We had a great time and costume was worth the money! He is wearing standard size.

The suit fits a little snug around the croch area but other than that it's awesome 👌 FYI it does not come with the hair shown in the picture
