So overall the quality of the body suit was pretty good. My son loved it and the muscles looked great. The cape and mask combo however need some serious help- the entire costume was big on him but not so big we couldn’t make it work (I think he was just between sizes) however the neck on the costume was so tight it choked him so we had to leave it un velcro’d in the back and he refused to have the cape on correctly because again it choked him. Even when he wore the mask/cape combo correctly it still looked really strange. He’s 5 and was happy to wear it during his school trunk or treat but for actual Halloween he wanted to wear another costume. I recommend this if you get the cape and mask separately or have the time to fix it yourself with a sewing machine ... show more

Holy Smokes Batman!! This is one of the best costumes/products I've EVER purchased! I thought that I was just buying a simple use-it-once-and-pray-it-hold so-up-and-doesn't-fall-apart-before-Halloween-is-over costumes. NOT SO MY FRIENDS!! My 3 year old has literally turned into Batman! We had 4 Halloween events this year and he wore that costume to every single one. We live on Maui, where its HOT on Halloween and my little superhero didn't complain once that the costume was too hot or that he was too sweaty. This costume fits him quite snugly. If I were to purchase it again, I would most likely order a size up. But the tightness of it doesn't bother him at all. He has now wore the costume to the 4 Halloween events, the grocery store, to school to pick up his brother & sister, outside playing, and yes, he's even requested to wear it to church! I love when I come home from a hard days work only to be met by my sweet, adorable 3 yr old Batman! I can't believe how well it's holding up. This is the "muscle" costume, so the inside is a formed, plastic type of thing and the rest is polyester (hot hot hot) but we have even washed it in the washing machine and it's held up! We did find that we had to safety pin the cape/hood onto the body of the costume, so it does have some holes starting to appear from all the pinning/unpinning we've had to do, but all in all this is a GREAT PURCHASE! The costume looks exactly like the picture. The belt is a separate item, and unfortunately, it's disappeared, but that's ok. I would definitely purchase this item again and I would most definitely purchase from Rubies again. The price was great and the shipping was fast. What more could one ask for? ... show more

First of all, the costume looks amazing and the abs were my sons favorite feature! However, the fit around the neck on both the costume and the cape were very tight and we had to make adjustments (he is a small-average kid). The cape was also too long and it too had to be adjusted. The worst part was the around the wrists. IT was horrible trying to get off an on...i even had to cut it to be able to get it off ... show more

The costume itself fit well and seems to be worth it. But like others have said the mask and cape combo is a fail. The Cape was ok and not too long like others have said. But the mask is connected to the Cape and we couldn't get it to sit right on my 4 year old no matter what. The ears also look like a doberman's failed ear surgery and just flopped over. It was a decent value, but now I have to pay for a separate mask and Cape. 4 year old loves the muscles though and he's happy either way. ... show more

It was an almost perfect costume. legs were long enough, arms were long enough, mask fit perfect BUT i had to slice up the wrists of the costume. my 3yo couldn't even get his hand in the arm hole, and the back had to be left completely undone. i couldn't put a shirt underneath, or he wouldn't have been able to get his hands in the wrist cuff at. all. so the cape just had to cover up his bare back. ZERO stretch in the arms, and when he sat the neck was so stiff to form the muscles that it choked him. ... show more
