We've had this container for over 2 years now, and every time I use it I'm impressed by it. We store cereal in it and it keeps it very fresh. The indentation on one side is a perfect hand grip. The flap lid has a positive-close feel and sound, so you're sure it's closed. The flap lid also stays open when you open it, so that you can easily pour cereal out without the lid getting in the way. The whole lid easily comes off to refill the container, and easily and securely snaps back on. It's very obvious they went to a lot of time and trouble to get everything on this container right. I used to keep cereals in the 1.5 Gallon Rubbermaid containers - they are sold on the same page - but I did not like their rounded footprint - they take too much space. I wanted to find a container that is rectangular in shape, and I also needed it to be the same height as my old containers. There were bigger Rubbermaid containers at my local store, but they were too tall. They also had another brand with flaps all around the lid to close it securely. At first, I wanted to get those, but realized that out of 4 containers in store, 3 had broken at least one side of the lids. I went to search online, and was happy to find this containers. They are the same height as my old ones, so I can fit them on the same shelf, but now they take less space because the space is used more effectively. They do hold less, but it is enough for the cereals I buy. I like that the lids are rubbery and they are not likely to break. The flip top is quite solid, and there is even a little bump under it on the lid to make it stay open for pouring. The shape of the container makes it easy to hold it with one hand. They are also stackable, between them, and also with other container in this series - I have couple more plain rectangular containers, and they could go on top of each other if I wanted to do so. I got this because I buy cereal at Costco and they come with two bags in one box which creates problems for pouring. This is perfect as it fits one bag perfectly keeping it fresher longer and easier to pour. The label came off really pretty easily. A small spot or two of adhesive didn’t come off. I easily got it off with some Goo Gone. Very happy. This makes my pantry so much neater and with less spilled cereal from the kids. ... show more

I purchased this product to make it easier for my children to open and pour their own cereal and to better organize my pantry. This product is easy for little hands to open. The open spout is well designed with a solid close and an easy open. The 'pull-up' tab for the open spout is large and easy to access. The actual red lid itself is more difficult to open and reseal which works well for me because I do not want it accidentally popping open and dumping the contents. Also, I do not intend to be refilling it often. The back of the container indents slightly for a hand hold but, at 3-inches wide, it is still too large for my children to wrap their fingers around. They would need to hold the entire container with both hands and not use the hand hold. A adult can easily use the hand hold. The product is rectangular which I like because it does not waste space in the pantry. I like that it has a flush top and almost flush sides which mean they stack in close to each other. I have included photos for different size cereal boxes and how much their contents fill each container. This product is large enough to hold Family Sized cereal box amounts without a problem. The side of the container has marks indicating cups on one side and liters on the other side. The stickers were difficult to remove and needed soap, water, and goo gone to get all the residue off. I bought two, and they hold about 4 pounds of the 10 lb bag of birdseed. It's so much easier to carry out to the feeders,often, esp since the chickadees eat like little pigs now, and open the cap to just pour into the feeders! Not too big or too heavy either. They are air tight! I took off the entire lid to fill them, and then just open the smaller lid to the pour hole. I got two, and the price was great. This is a quality one time purchase. I think any pitcher with a pour lid would work great , but not air tight like these, to keep the seeds dry. ... show more
