not sure if happened during shipping or packing, but the book was shipped with a big oil-like spot that dried and caused a wierd see through effect on the first 10 or so pages. Still legible, just a small issue during shipping. Not sure if attention to detail was lacked

The Rubank Series and this one in particular are great books for Mallet instruments. My son recently joined band and using this a practice book and guide to playing. A fine book to use for music instruction.
